No Man's Sky freezes computer
I got the latest update. I looked at the game, then went to look for updated mods. I found some and set them up as I've done many time before. I hit the final button that starts the stars flashing by. The computer froze. I removed the mods. Same. I removed the mods folder. Same. I verified the integrity of the files. Same. I uninstalled the program and deleted the folders. I downloaded a new copy and installed. Same. There is no mods folder. Everything should be fresh. It freezes the computer. I just did another file integrity check. Something has been changed or added that freezes the computer and it's hiding somewhere. Any ideas?

Same problem. Full vanila game freezes on loading. Freezes deadly until hard reset

Same. No mods. And my computer auto reboots on freeze. (temperatures are fine.) GG Hello games.

Mine freezes after some gametime. The whole computer freezes and i have to hard reboot with the hardware button..

Do you guys use SteamVR Beta by any chance? When I use it the game crashes. If you do revert back to stable SteamVR . :-)

I wonder if any of you who have this crash might have the same video driver versions. Want to post them? If it's not that, perhaps also check your CPU and graphics card temperatures to see if something's overheating when the game is loading. I think there's a free program that makes a text log while it's running (I forget the name); that would be useful if the whole computer crashes or freezes.

Seems only a few have this issue, maybe something common between you.

Just played a couple of hours in Vr no issues.

Vive, I7 6700k at 4.5GHz, GTX1080 Strix OC, 16Gb ram, Running from M.2 NVME SSD

I was having same problem and if i tried restart PC right after it wouldn't even boot up, had to leave for 10mins. Updating nvidia drivers might not fix whats broken better to uninstall drivers and geforce experience and re download them. Can say for 100% fixed it for me because another patch released while i was doing this but game hasn't crashed since.

Can you get as far as the save file load screen? If so try and join a friend in multiplayer that wasn't in the same system as your crash. I've managed to fix 2 peoples broken saves this way.
