The page in the shop says it's designed to create 3d particle effects and I'm a bit confused as it is possible to export only photos and videos from the software.

The first thing that comes to mind is that I will be able to use the particle effects in video editing by placing them on top of the main video (for example, to create the effect of fog, rain and so on). That's where my understanding of the software ends, can effects really be used anywhere else?

How by exporting the particle effects as pictures I can create a 3d effect, I just don't know of any picture format that can store depth information. I mean, for the particle effect to look like 3D, the software needs to capture the particle effect from 6 sides (as a cube). Question, does the software know how to do this or does it export only one side?
