Hello all,

I'm setting up this page to collate all the currently known issues. If you feel like there is something missed, then do leave a comment below and I'll make sure to add it.

Or if you wish, you can contact us directly via our support form[abstractiongames.com]

Like most issues, a lot of these can be resolved by making sure you're using up to date drivers and your system is updated.

Vsync:

Due to the fact that the game runs on OpenGL and the nature of vsync on OpenGL being such that it depends heavily on driver support for this feature it may not work for everybody but you'll get the best chances if you play in fullscreen mode (not borderless) and force VSync in your graphics card driver.

Linux crashing:

If you're seeing the following issue whilst trying to run the game.

"Preparing to launch game" followed the game failing to run and displaying the following error

$ ./run.sh ./run.sh: line 4: 24663 Segmentation fault ./Blob

Make sure that you're running an up to date distro (Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS or later, for example). Also make sure you're running the latest stable version of the GPU driver.

There have been reports that the latest unstable (beta) drivers can cause issues. We are currently looking into the problem with the beta drivers and hope to have a fix for you as soon as we can.

"Complete all the challenges of the forest world":

Some people have been complaining that this achievement isn't unlocking after getting 10 challenges. This is actually intended.

The forest world actually has 12 levels. The 2 last levels will unlock when you finish world 4. Only then will you be able to complete the 11th and 12th challenges and get the achievement.

Game crashes when started. Haven't been able to get past the start menu.
Hi Cambion, what platform are you playing on?

Hi Bill,

I often experience huge losses of framerate in game, usually dropping from 60FPS to 20-30FPS. Thus it become quite unplayable (and frustrating, by the way).

It's unfortunate, I've finished the game once on Wii, enjoyed it a lot and I was really happy to play it again on PC.

I play in fullscreen mode and it's slightly better in windowed mode, but still.

System and software are all up to date.

Windows version: Windows 7 (64 bit)
CPU type: Intel Core i7-4800MQ CPU@ 2.70GHz
System memory: 8GB
Graphic card: AMD Radeon HD 8790M

Thank you for your work and support.

Sonatine,

Thank you for contacting us with this issue. If you can, can you describe when and where you're getting these large frame rate drops?

FujiSyusuke808 12 Apr, 2016 @ 1:36pm
For the bonus levels (I think?) that you can enter from the treasures collected for the bonus stages, I seem to be unable to access the moai/easter island head statue, labeled with a 2. I currently have 5 of the stages unlocked, and I am unable to go down/left from Stage 5 to Stage 2.

EDIT: After getting all the treasure chests in Stages 6 and 7, I am now able to access the Stage 2 bonus. Leaving this here just in case this original problem was a bug.

Hi Bill,

It mostly occurs during the bonus levels -- I've just ended the Forest ones.
It happened in every single one of them.

Regarding the classic levels, the frame rate drops happened during the first levels where the Boy uses his Blob as a trampoline.

Thank you for your answer (and thanks to the team).

NB: I've experienced large frame rate drops again in the fourth level of the second world when the Boy is in the bubble created by his Blob.

Achievements aren't working correctly in the Linux version. I should have by now gotten the "Show Some Love" achievement. Running on Debian sid, 64-bit.

Thanks for the update, I've asked the PC team to look into this issue and hopefully come up with a fix.

I have informed the team of your issue. Hopefully they'll get to the bottom of it.

Hey there,

when playing the game there is some extreme horizontal tearing going on everywhere in the game. This even happens during the intro video and the WayForward logo and everything. I tried running this game in windowed mode and in borderless windowed mode but to no avail.

There are also some flickering graphics (the firefly-like green glowing dots in the forest, for example).

These are my specs:

CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 Quad Core (~3.4 GHz)
GPU: AMD Radeon R7 260 X (2 GB) – latest drivers installed
System memory: 8 GB
Operating system: Windows 7 x64 Ultimate
DirectX version: DirectX 11

Thank you in advance for any help!

Is there any content changes from the Wii version? aside technical changes.

I changed the game to windowless border and now its just a black screen. I still head the game running but I can't see.

The content is the same as the Wii version.
