Just test the function
It's working and you could depart without everyone onboard it's new.
Maybe just wait long and check everyone back to the tree?
Still drop any carrying.
Sad
If basic mechanics like this aren't fixed then what hope do i have for the more complex ones?
Near the end of the video i selected a new map and click to leave, there was not even a warning that all golems would die.

How can a Game Over result be tied to using the most basic mechanic wich is changing maps? i just can't understand why it's made like this
Why do games allow you to kill yourself with rockets? Or jump into endless pits? Because fail states are what defines games.
If you are trying to get last few necessary things done while suffering from the Darkness, you might be forced to decide to go on move before a sad little golem returns.
Do not blame the game for your own mistake. If you misunderstood how the mechanic works, maybe say that. It's okay, that can be fixed. But your posts come across as if you are embarassed for failing and trying to agressively blame anyone else for it.
What other game does this?
You are playing rimworld and because the colonists miss their bedtime they just die? In Craft the world, miners die if they are too far away from the food table? In oxygen not included they die if they get to the toilet in time?
Anyway, if even the small details are not fixed then i have no hope for the game.
Yeah, i will go play Stranded Alien Dawn because this game is too complex for me, i hope i don't kill everyone when i send someone on an expedition
If you build a wall in a wrong order, your colonists die. If you do not zone things properly, they die. If you do not zone other things properly, they die. If you don't mark beds properly, they die. If the walls to the prison barracks get broken, they die. If you don't remove roof one tile at a time, they die. So on, so on, so on. It's nice of you to provide a rebuttal to your own point.
Those are also way worse.
And snark aside, if you cannot talk without exageratting to a point where you seem to be on a verge of a panic attack, then I do not see any reason to respond to you.
We did make it able to depart without all the golems on board on purpose. However, if it is too easy to accidentally leave golems, that may be a problem. We will look into improving the UI, messaging, etc to make it more clear.
Early access games are a great way for indie devs to make really cool projects but most times we end with kickstarter projects that are marketed as almost ready games via early access.
I am saying this is the case here but i am adressing a bigger problem related to the release state of early access games.
