Suggestions
1. The pathway for upgrades is unclear, you can research something that requires an item before you can research the thing that produces that item.
2. ESC button, when nothing else is happening, should bring up the menu.
3. First dark storm that hits, you have no idea what is happening, how long it is happening for or how to protect yourself, my golems died constantly. There needs to be some kind of indication of how long the storm has left.
4. It's not immediately clear that growing plants requires selecting a crop on the zone, I was looking around for an item to plant.
5. When you use wood tiles as a ceiling, whats underneath that does not count as being "inside" , how do you seal it shut. Also when using as a wall tile, what does this mean exactly, if I do it all the way to the floor then it creates a surface above the floor level, this is very unclear to a new player.

I guess it is intentionally separated for usage.
So player should check before or just wait for more tech point to invest.

Agree, it's annoying for esc won't open manu which are default at almost every game

But it's ok when you only using esc for unselect
Factorio and some game are using Q for that…

Right now it only tells at map where you haven't been there

The current location just won't tell you when and how long before the dark storm.
It's worse when you move into new location because the timer didn't reset for calculate.

The first dark storm feel like hit at days 6 morning right after all the preset crops and tree matured

Anyway, it's easy for leave right at the dark storm hit or get rid of it in the start.
Just remember don't plant too much and leave resources at underground.

The tutorial are having video inside it and it didn't need special proton to show at SteamDeck

It's somehow weird besides other 2D SLG

Zones are unique in ark of charon
Like 4 high storage and auto calling harvest growth zone

I also wish it could at least set default with cabbage for easier life and some turn off function before the dark storm hit.
5.
There is some inside-only product building which required 6x4 rooms
You could also just replace pillars into room or reverse

After build, the room will having background for wall torch and desk for product ammo

It's game mechanics.

I think they all make sense. I will share and discuss with the team.
For the ESC button, the menu should come up in the current version.
For 5, currently only the preset rooms in the Room menu count as being "inside". Any structure constructed from only tiles and pillars count as being outside.
I agree this is confusing at first...we will discuss a way to make it clearer.
I think just having a tutorial will help a lot with this. As game gets closer to release, this will be improved. I am not too worried about it.


I would like to add that the Storage menu is a bit confusing as it only shows an item if one instance already exists in storage. Like the electric drill was missing from storage menu because I had it in the field already. I would suggest that the storage menu shows all items that are Possible to create with current tech and buildings, not just already exist.


Also, in the world map you ought to be able to see your CURRENT location stats as well as others as a reminder.


Finally it would be extremely helpful to have a marker for approximately when the Dark Storm hits.
When you get the notification, there needs to be a visual marker on the time of day wheel that shows when it will hit. Like it starts blacking out behind the time indicator right after the notification so when completely black the storm hits.

I would like to also suggest an EVOLVE function. You can select a worker and tell him to Evolve. Worker will go to the CORE and pop up the spawn golem GUI, and auto-populate whatever souls the current worker has.
You can then cancel out and abort, or you can add any number of new souls to the golem and click Spawn to upgrade them.

This would be much better than having to starve or blow up your crap golems lategame in favor of improved ones. :-)

Plus you don't even have to make a new GUI, just recycle what you already have with the only difference being the worker's existing souls are auto-populated.

Oh yeah. Clicking on an item in your inventory should take you to where an instance of that item is located. For example, click hand drill and you warp to that storage box being in the center of the screen. Sure you CAN set up rules for storage to make them easier to find but I think this would be a helpful feature.
