Demo is too short

Wanted to see if i'd be able to use Card engine over Card creator so tried the demo before wasting my money again. Spent 30 minutes designing 2 templates, and 10 minutes making a single card, the demo was then over. I didn't test import/export features, couldn't make a handful of cards for printing to make sure the software prints clearly an accurately. didn't check print bleed and safe area accuracy, or check if you can import fonts, and barely looked at the settings available. Cards locking to mouse

Clicking cards locks them to the mouse in templates and card selection. Was editing one of the cards went to save it as a template but left pressed the template instead of right pressed which made me loose what i had (Although it didn't load the template correctly it was empty). Hello everyone,

Here is a hotfix for two bugs that came up after update 0.7

Fixes

Fixed a bug that caused non-standard card sizes (Like square shaped) to not update their proportions properly in the exporter
Fixed a bug that caused stock Frame images to not automatically fit to the card size after being added to a card from the asset browser

Update 0.7.0 - Editor config menu, Bleed lines, file metadata, importer rework

Hello everyone,

This update includes some more work on the exporter, adding metadata (Like DPI) for exported files, as well as the possibility of setting bleed and safe zone when editing.

There has also been major changes to the importer. Many users found it difficult to use or tedious to navigate. So the old dedicated ‘Importer’ has been deprecated. It has been replaced by an import system that works hand in hand with the asset browser, allowing you to create categories in the asset browser then drag your images onto the Card Engine window to import them into the category, or click a + button in the asset browser to browse for files.

XML card data importing is now done through a simple ‘Card Data’ button in the home menu. You can also export XML data from there.

New Features

Arrow keys can now be tapped for precision movement when an object is selected in the editor
Added DPI metadata to images in exported PDF files for printing
Added DPI, Resolution unit and Program name metadata to exported JPG files for printing. Keep in mind that this additional metadata will increase file sizes
Added a config button to the editor. It will open a config menu for adjusting editor behaviour
Set grid size in the new editor config menu

Quality/Resolution can now be adjusted when exporting to individual images. 50% Low, 100% Standard or 200% ‘Ultra’ resolution. This can only be set for individual images because the resolutions of paper exports are already high, and allowing to set them higher would likely lead to instability for many users
The importer has gone through some changes! It is no longer in the navigation menu. It has been integrated into the asset browser. This change will hopefully make it more intuitive as category is now set automatically based on what category you opened the importer from.
With a custom category open in the editor, drag and drop your own images onto the Card Engine window to import them straight into the category
Raw XML card data can now be imported and exported easily from the Home menu from a 'Card Data' button

Improvements

Small changes to a lot of texts in preparation of localization
JPG exports should now have slightly higher quality
Made the outline of the selection border thinner for selected objects
Made the outline of the hover border thinner when hovering selectable objects
Reworked the moveable window constraints. The windows should now be easier to find if accidentally moving them to their limit, and it should no longer be possible to make them go out of bounds
Improved visual quality for cursor overrides
Improved cursor overrides positioning
Improved performance by pooling asset browser elements instead of having inactive categories in memory
Simplified the navigation menu by reducing clutter
Changed internal filetypes for some stock frames that had no need for alpha data. This will slightly improve memory overhead
Snapping is now enabled by default in the editor

Fixes

Fixed a bug that could cause exported cards to be too small if exporting to PDF in single card mode
Fixed a bug that caused the card size menu to close if clicking the vertical size input field while the horizontal field were selected
Fixed a bug that sometimes caused moveable windows to go out of bounds after changing monitor or screen resolution
Fixed a bug that caused vertically flipped objects to not snap edge to edge
Fixed a bug that caused a wrong directional mouse override to show for flipped objects

Other

Documentation updated to v0.7
Added bleed and safe zone information to the documentation, as well as some other printing info and tips under ‘Printing’
Removed the ‘Default layout’ button from the settings. This button was a temporary solution to a problem where moveable windows could go out of bounds when changing monitor or resolution. All it did was restore windows to their original position, but this issue should be resolved now
Removed the grid size option from the settings. This is now done in the new editor config menu
Removed the snap range option from the settings. This is now done in the new editor config menu
Removed the Resize Border Threshold option from the settings. This is now done in the new editor config menu
Removed right clicking the grid button to set its size. This is now done in the new editor config menu
Removed right clicking the snapping button to set its range. This is now done in the new editor config menu
Removed some unnecessary tooltips in preparation of localization
Removed the forced artist tooltips from the template examples. (Artists can be found in the credits)

I suggest you come up with a batch editing system that will at least allow me to delete a few cards at once, which is a hassle right now

Initial suggestions

Three suggestions I immediately have with Card Engine: There shouldn't be a list of all the fonts when selecting text, you can change the font in the elements options after placing, i'd recommend instead allowing the user to drag their mouse to place a text region with just the Ariel font initially. The drop shadow on text isn't always want you want, having an option to disable it and/or change it's colour would be a good start, blur radius and thickness would also be nice to add for example and slight w...
