Does the boulder have a right bias?

I've been trying to steer the thing without even moving it forward, but it's like there's a good amount of force heading right the moment it touches his hands

I found the cause: My left hands (which control WASD) palm was lying on the touchpad, which was registering a click held down.
Therefore Sisyphus was trying to steer the boulder to the side permanently

Turning off the trackpad for a while helped
