Automation - The Car Company Tycoon Game

Car file exports to the wrong place
For some reason my cars are exporting to a different mods folder then what I'm using so I have to manually move the cars file to the right place. Can I change the export folder path?

Automation should automatically detect your BeamNG mods folder location. If you've changed that from the default BeamNG mod folder location and Automation is having problems with it, you might want to change it back to default, which is done from BeamNG's launcher.

For some reason I had all my BeamNG files and could load the game but it wasn't showing up as downloaded on Steam so I downloaded BeamNG and copied my 0.32 folder over and that's where my files are going because there is a mod folder in there but it's not the mod folder I'm using.

And just for clarification, do you have other BeamNG mods in this folder, that work correctly?

The mods folder in the 0.32 folder does not work but the other mods folder works.

In the photo is the mods folder I'm using. If I were to click on 0.32 and use the mods folder in there then it won't work

OK. that's probably your issue then. Windows does not like to allow applications to automatically write data to Program Files at all, as it is a huge security and stability risk; Automation is basically unable to export data to that folder you have set for your mods.

Microsoft instead wants applications to write to AppData; in the case of BeamNG, that is %localappdata%\BeamNG.drive (copy/paste that into your Windows search bar), and then into the \mods folder of whatever the current version is. I would recommend setting BeamNG's user folder back to the default setting, as this is the best way to ensure successful export of cars from Automation.
