How is the information accessibility and presentation?
I'm interested in this game, but I'm also a layman when it comes to cars and their parts. Does this game have enough information to teach me what I need to know, is that information accessible, and is it presented in a way that I can understand?

Just as a comparison, I play a lot of War in the East 2, which is an incredibly complex wargame. But despite that, everything that's important is at most a click away and presented so that you can easily see and understand it. The most detailed information is three clicks away. So if I need to understand, for example, what different types of components for an engine are, does this game explain that and, if it does, does it also give me easily digestible information in terms of benefits, drawbacks, capabilities, etc.?

I just don't want to get this game and be immediately drowned in a sea of assumed knowledge and acronyms, I actually want to learn how to play it!

Well, Automation is quite a complex game definitely, and there is an assumption that the player has a base knowledge of automotive engineering, but it's not so complicated that you'd need a degree in that field to understand it!

We have tooltips for nearly all options that explains what each choice is, and what it does, and we are constantly improving on those as well. As for the information presented to the player such as stats, performance and the like can be pretty dense, but it's not impenetrable either.

Thanks! This sounds like the right approach. I'll probably watch some let's plays before buying to see how it plays out in practice, but it seems likely that I'll end up getting it!
