I haven’t played the old GF: O and I am a new player. I would, however, like to let anyone who is about to play this game know a few things that I wish I knew when I first started playing this game.

Pros:

+ Being a cleric can be empowering when joining PVE content since most parties, whether 5 people or 10 people, usually are more comfortable with at least 2 healers being in their party before going into a dungeon

+ The game developers give away a lot of redeemable codes that help players a lot. So far, I have used over 12 codes to redeem more than 20 items – some which are costly on the item mall and useful as well.

+ There are two dungeons in this game. For each dungeon there are three options. 1 pt, 5pt, and 10pt (meaning number of people) - and for each of these 3 dungeon options – you can join each dungeon 2 times in one day. Meaning 12 dungeon rounds in a day which is not so bad since in future updates there will be more dungeons added and each individual dungeon adds 6 rounds.

(It is always best to revive on scene when in a dungeon since if you revive outside the dungeon, you will lose a round as in one count of admission into the dungeon.)

Cons:

– There is a lot of imbalances when it comes to different classes. For instance, while an individual can play and enjoy the PVE content in this game with a cleric, the PVP content is not playable without serious investment into getting better gear. Which either requires actual irl cash or a lot of grind. Even then, the PVP content is skewed towards classes that dominate the arena like the berserkers.

( Players from the other team usually can also be extremely verbally abusive and send insults via whispers during PVP .. there is also no way to report these sadistic individuals. )

– There are certain items on the item mall such as the legacy gear which makes the game skewed towards a pay to win model. The introduction of these gears would have definitely cost the developers a lot of future revenue in the long run due to more players leaving the game.

– There are buffs that allow increased drop rate and movement speed which can be bought from the item mall, which again may discourage most players from staying in the game for the long run.

– The amount of bag slots you get is very minimal at the beginning. However, if you visit one of the general merchants in one of the cities (I forgot their names) – you can purchase better bags. It is always better checking the bag prices of the merchants and those of the auctioneers since either you might get a better deal or you might get swindled.



I will update this review as I learn more about this game. I hope anyone starting out in this game has learned something new about it after reading through so they can make a better decision on whether to invest their time.

For me, there are a lot of cons. I see a lot of room for improvement. I am still playing though, and I hope for a better future for this game.

What garbage. A yank old game that is even worse than it used to be. Text is cut off at every opportunity making it unreadable. Quests aren't showing up. And you will lose your character because it'll forget you already used an email for your account. I liked Aura Kingdom better. Twin Saga too. X-Legend needs to stop and make a proper MMORPG instead of churning out one every year and regurgitating crap like this just to try and line their pockets with the money of people who are blinded by nostalgia and think this game is actually worth playing. Nah fam. We're all hungry for a (new) MMORPG to sink our teeth into, but this one tastes far too stale.

I used to play this game so much back in 2011. I logged in for the first time with this version of that game and saw (Character blahblahblah) has made ___________ with alchemy clay. Instantly logged off, pay to win needs to die.
