not gaameplay i think
Looks ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nothing like it.
Animations were not smooth.
Rewatch it.
heaps of blur, and cinematic view made it look like a VR insult to the industry type of game.
Imagine trying to ♥♥♥♥♥♥ leech off of Dark Messiah.
These devs needa crash and burn
Dude, the footage isn't even gameplay, chill. It's not a VR game, press release said as much iirc. Dark Messiah is crusty AF these days anyways, as much as it pains me to say it. A game trying to emulate its physics focused combat system would be great. Its been like 20 years and we barely have any games like it.
Hi! The assets from the trailer are in-game, but some camera angles and animations were crafted specifically for the trailer to enhance the visual experience. We appreciate your interest in our game and will strive to share new materials as soon as possible so you can form your own opinion.
The bigger worry in general, does the team has experience and skills/ management/ funds to actually make it into a proper game.
I hope they do since this looks cool, but I would take this whole project with the grain of salt until there is more development shown.
Yo, thank you for the response and the transparency! Glad that the trailer was using in engine footage, it looks fantastic graphically. Take all the time ya need for this one, rooting for this to become a modern classic.
Or maybe your not lying maybe those are in game assets, they just aren't being filmed in the game because you don't actually have a game ready to show off in any capacity.
That's kind of exactly what they said, yeah. Game ain't ready to show off, the assets were canned animations in engine. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate skepticism, but damn. I'll take that over a stupid expensive obvious CGI cut-scene that doesn't even describe the gameplay.
This is an unknown studio, with no prior projects around their belt, that randomly released a very obviously pre-rendered trailer made to look like a game. The visual fidelity on display is not just some "Camera angles and animations", its on a level AAA studios would struggle to make work without a metric assload of time and resources.
Those aren't game assets.
