hello i have ultrawide screen is there any chance to play it in full screen on ultrawide?

I put the option 1 for gamepad (I have an XBOX Series X controller) and it won't do anything. I tried to connect it via cable, but it won't work. any help? Anythign I can do to map KB keys to controller?

I click play and i see the "stop" text which means its attempting to run the game but shortly after goes back to saying play with nothing else happening in between. please help
