The game doesn't save my settings in configuration

Okay so I used to play this game before and it worked just fine. Now I start the game and it doesn't support my resolution so I go to the configuration and change the setting (fullscreen = true) to (fullscreen = false). When I start it, the game still doesn't support my resolution, so I go back to the configuration and see that the settings reverted. How do I make the game settings stay the same outside of the game?

ok so i fixed it by simply going to %appdata% and deleting the cfg in the trove folder. Before I tried to just access trove by going to my files and deleting it. Hope that others see this
