i am returning to this game after many years, im lvl 20 or so any map i play even in casual my towers do NO damage at all. seeming very hard to beat each round, is that right? i have put points in towers with different strengths etc

Hi. I'm playing sorceres and I am currently level 39. I am trying to beat Bottomless pit tier 3, however there's no way to clear this level. I'm starting with 300ish essence and I just can't even survive the first wave. I tried using the level specific traps but they don't seem to help specially because there's no enough essence to buy them and your own traps. I might be missing something here because I was able to beat every level so far with just the right amount of challenge. I tried using traps again...
