You need this to play Story Mode....

So go get it downloaded.

1. Click download on the dlc page. This will open the game and do NOTHING.
2. Close sf5.
3. Go to your games library in steam and right click street figher 5 go to properties then the dlc tab on the end, check the box next to the dlc for the story mode.
4. Click apply/ok whatever it is.
5. Now the story mode dlc is downloading.
6. Let it download
7. Play story mode.

You need the 8.1GB download that should have happened automatically (Restart steam to force the update if it hasn't happened) plus this 7.4GB download as well.

Enjoy SFV with Story mode.

since i downloaded the 8gb patch my game has just crashed on startup...

It doesn't download for me. It just launches the game...

Yes, but now look at your owned dlc for the game in your library.

Read my post, it will add the option to install the DLC in your library.
