Punch-Out skip?

I really hate when indie devs cram Punch-Out into games, it sucks so hard every single ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time it happens. Is there a way to skip this garbage or do I have to sit through this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ every time?

He means the optional fight with Resourceful Rat.

You can just lose on it. It doesn’t end your run. Or you can just not fight Rat, that entire floor is optional.

Personally, I love doing Rat fight when playing Gunslinger, cuz the left/right punches change to rapid-fire left and right quickdraws and it looks hella cool.

Nah, the boss intros are similar to the intros in Punch Out IIRC. If the OP said that wasn't what they were talking about, THEN I'd be talking about the actual fight

So, I can't skip the fight then. That sucks. I don't even want its ♥♥♥♥♥♥ rewards, I just want the completion points for the finished gun.

♥♥♥♥♥♥ rewards? Elimmentaler is an incredibly powerful room-clearing, infinite ammo gun with an AOE crowd control effect. Rat Boots provide a speed boost and grant temporary invulnerability when you use them to float over a pit. Partially-Eaten Cheese is a use item that makes you invulnerable to damage temporarily and allows you to damage enemies by simply bumping into them. And finally, Resourceful Sack grants you three extra use item slots and an incredibly powerful use effect itself. Why would you not want to unlock those?
