Season 3 is here and it’s gonna show us that sometimes crime does pay!

Meet the newest playable character coming to Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League: Zoe Lawton A.K.A. Lawless.

Gotham's newest and most ethical thief, Lawless, is determined to use the skills of a master criminal that her father taught her to redistribute the wealth in her hometown. She's sending a message to the people of Gotham that they don't have to live in fear of the city’s out-of-touch elites any longer, and her method for spreading this message is to livestream her heists for her adoring fans to see.


Season 3 will see you returning to Gotham, but not quite as you know it. In this Elseworld, Earth held its last stand against Brainiac in Gotham City, rather than Metropolis. And after it fell, Brainiac decided he had little use for the failing city, leaving it to fall into the void. Rivers of lava now flow through the streets of Gotham, whole city districts are tumbling into an endless void and various iconic locations from Gotham pop up all throughout this Elseworld. 


We begin Season 3 with Episode 5: Thieves, and with it the graceful yet devastating Catwoman Infamy set which introduces the new Status Effect 'Deep Wounds,' which causes enemies to take damage over time and bleed if you follow up with a melee attack.

On top of the Catwoman Infamy sets, we're introducing a Rogues Gallery of new Notorious gear items.

• A special note on missing Codex entries:
  
  • In our last update we communicated that this bug was resolved, however this only applied to Codex entries unlocked after the update on 08/27 and the fix was not retroactive. After further investigation, and due to the nature of this bug, we have been unable to restore all Codex entries back to their original states. Rather than leave these entries missing for those affected, we have instead put a fix in place that will grant all Codex entries that are attainable up to and included in Episode 3 for anyone that has completed the main story (Defeating Brainiac in the Chapter 6 "Kill Brainiac" mission).
• Fixed a bug that sometimes prevented enemies and terminals from spawning in the "Docking Maneuvers" mission.
  
• Fixed a bug that sometimes prevented Brainiac from appearing after killing all of his forces during the first phase of the "Kill Brainiac 5/13" boss fight while in a multiplayer session.
  
• Fixed a bug in the Stash that prevented the categories from being displayed if only a single item of that category was placed in the Stash.
  
• Fixed a bug that sometimes caused Penguin's crafting recipes to be missing when playing in a multiplayer session.
  
• Fixed a bug in "Killing Time" that caused players to get stuck on the exit screen if entering the exit portal with enough momentum that you would otherwise fall into water.
  
• Fixed a bug that would sometimes cause players to get stuck on an endless loading screen after being disconnected from a server.
  
• Fixed a bug that sometimes caused characters purchased from the store to not have their default gear, resulting in them being invisible and unplayable.
  
• Fixed a bug that occasionally caused other Squad members to be visible in the end of mission Anti-Hero shot.
  
• Fixed the debuff from The Joker's "Ring-A-Ding" being removed from Destroyers after losing a health bar and using their AoE attack.
  
• Fixed the "Disturbing Sights" melee weapon not instantly killing Bombers and Destroyers.
  
• Fixed the "Contagion" shotgun having the same stats for both the standard and Master versions. (Master variant has been buffed)
  
• Fixed the "Hummock" heavy weapon having the same stats for both the standard and Master versions. (Master variant has been buffed)
  
• Fixed a bug that would sometimes prevent players from navigating through the Battle Pass rewards.
  
• Fixed a bug that sometimes caused the Sentry and Sniper constructs to not spawn during the final phase of the Episode 4 Brainiac fight.
  
• Fixed a bug in the Episode 4 Brainiac fight that would sometimes allow him to be pushed outside of the arena boundary, causing him to no longer take any damage.
  
• Fixed a bug that would sometimes cause AI Mrs. Freeze to get stuck in a vertical traversal loop and fly off into the sky.
  
• Fixed a bug that sometimes resulted in displaying and dealing no damage to enemy tank weak points.
  
• Fixed a bug in the "Planned Obsolescence" mission that caused choppers to occasionally fly through terrain. 
  
• Fixed a bug that prevented The Joker's Tutorial & Hints entries from being added to the Codex after purchasing him from the Store.
  
• Fixed a bug that allowed multiple characters to equip the same piece of gear after Eliting it with Toyman. 
  
• Fixed the "Docking Maneuvers" mission not having any mission borders, which allowed players to leave the mission area.
  
• Fixed a bug in the Episode 4 Mayhem mission that caused Mrs. Freeze's hand to be missing when implanting the Data Spike in Brainiac's giant forehead.
  
• Fixed one of the Skull Ship Tentacles that was clipping into the ground during the Episode 4 "Killing Time" mission.
  
• Fixed a bug that sometimes caused a Bomber to remain alive in the mission area after defeating the Episode 4 Brainiac.
  
• Fixed a bug that sometimes caused the "Highest Season Rank" to not update correctly in the Episode Stats menu.
  
• Fixed a bug that occasionally caused AI Squadmate Deadshot to traverse in circles when navigating past the Bird Cinema building.
  
• Fixed the "Marco Polo" Riddler Challenge being missing from Metropolis while playing in Episode 4.
  
• Fixed a Riddler Trophy being missing outside of the stadium while playing in Episode 4.
  
• Fixed a bug that caused coordinated multiple uses of the Squad Ultimate while playing as The Joker in a multiplayer session, to spawn multiple grenades at a time.
  
• Fixed a bug that allowed Mrs. Freeze to continue using her Traversal if she was aiming down sights while being hit by a Sniper or EMP.
  
• Fixed a bug that could occasionally result in a "Purchase failed" notification when purchasing Luthor Coin.
  
• Fixed a bug at the end of the Episode 3 Brainiac fight that could sometimes result in Squad members being visible in the cinematic when they shouldn’t be.
  
• Fixed a bug in which AI Squad members may disappear during the intro to the "Q's And A-holes" mission.
  
• Fixed a bug at the end of the Episode 4 "Out of Orbit" mission that sometimes caused the Watchtower to disappear and then reappear.
  
• Fixed a big that allowed Corrupted gear to be rewarded for completing Mayhem missions on no Mastery difficulties.
  
• Fixed a bug that resulted in notifications being shown for Mrs. Freeze Codex entries after purchasing Luthor Coin, despite not having unlocked Mrs. Freeze.
  
• Fixed a bug that caused Mrs. Freeze hands to be misplaced on heavy weapons after unreadying in the lobby.
  
• Fixed a bug that was occasionally causing the icons used to show which AI Squad members are targeting an enemy, to appear blown out.
  
• [PC Steam] - Fixed a bug that could sometimes result in an indefinite loading screen following the epilepsy warning after launching the game.

• The Fiddlers Fiddle Lucky Charm is currently missing from the Episode 5 loot drop tables. It can however, still be acquired by reaching Thieves Rank 103 and claiming it from the Episode Rank Rewards. 
  
• The unlock requirements for the "New 52" outfits in the "Looks" menu are incorrectly shown as "Unlocked in Battle Pass". Instead, these outfits can simply be purchased from the Store. No Battle Pass purchase is necessary.

Season 2 – Episode 4: Winter is here, and coming with it a host of new gear, new Incursions and a new variation of the Brainiac boss fight, and of course plenty of bug fixes.

While Killer Frost’s Infamy set was about the dynamic switching between hot and cold, Captain Cold is taking us to absolute zero with his array of bone-chilling weapons!

Born to an abusive father, Leonard Snart had to use his brilliant mind to create a better life for himself… through somewhat unsavoury means. But when The Flash finally caught him red-handed, he devised a way to slow down the Scarlet Speedster, and thus Captain Cold, the man who mastered absolute zero was born!

Both his knowledge of sub-zero tech and his flexible morals are present in the items available in his Infamy Set. With a variety of ways to boost the power of your Deep Freeze Afflictions, it makes for a devastating support build, freezing enemies in place and allowing you and your team to quickly shatter them. Plus, when you build up stacks of ‘Frost Coat’ you’ll be able to shrug off even the toughest of blows, making for an ice-cool tank build!

Heat Wave and Captain Cold may not always see eye to eye, but boy do their weapons team up to make a powerful combo. Heat Wave’s Scorcher sets enemies on fire when countering them with the Regular Fire, but it’s the Alt Fire that really sets this synergy ablaze. It fires a scorching bullet that does a blistering 1500% increased damage to Frozen enemies and Burns them. Once they’ve broken the ice, this team up will get along like a house on fire.

With Icicle’s Piercing Shards, there’s a cold going around and it’s downright infectious. This weapon shoots piercing shards that have a chance to Freeze enemies, and damage done with the firearm also damages other Frozen enemies nearby.

With Trickster’s Frozen Hand you’ll be sure to have the upper… well, you get where this is going. But by building up enough stacks of ‘Frozen Finger’ you will unleash ‘Frozen Hand’, and with this hand you can beat the crap out of Brainiac’s army, thanks to massively boosted melee damage!

Brainiac has setup shop in new locations in some chillingly familiar places.

You’ll be heading over to the icy ruins of the Hob’s Bay docks, the frozen remains of the Zeppo Sky Tours building and the carcass of a destroyed Terraformer.

• Enemies now continue scaling in power in Mastery Levels 500+. This should result in more challenging enemies as you climb higher Mastery Levels.
  
• Killing Time for Episode 3 was providing far greater Master Level progression than intended. This has been brought more in-line with the Killing Time missions from previous Episodes and Finite Crisis.
  
• There is now a small chance to get Master versions of supported gear while crafting.
  
• Added a prompt to certain weapons with an Alt Fire mode, explaining how to gain the necessary resource to keep firing the Alt Fire mode.

• Fixed a bug that caused some players to lose their Codex entries.
  
• Fixed a bug that caused Talents Points to be missing after reaching max level with a Squad member.
  
• Fixed a bug that was causing the Astral Ribbons Counter effect to apply to weapons other than the Golden Glider’s Ribbon Projection.
  
• Fixed a bug that could sometimes cause Harley Quinn to get stuck inside of destructible objects at the end of the “Breaking the Ice” mission.
  
• Fixed the Behemoth’s laser walls in the “Frozen Assets” mission moving slower than intended.
  
• Fixed a bug in which players become stuck in between the frozen and Coluan terrain underneath the Behemoth in the “Frozen Assets” mission.
  
• Fixed a bug when crafting Mrs. Freeze’s “GRAVITROPISM” Traversal Mod that resulted in it being a Joker Traversal mod.
  
• Fixed a bug that could sometimes result in players spawning inside terrain when joining the “Frozen Assets” mission, following their Neck Bomb being detonated after another player had already reached the mission.
  
• Fixed a bug that sometimes caused players to not receive the default crafting recipes for Mrs. Freeze after purchasing her in the Store.
  
• Fixed a bug in which the camera would sometimes appear outside of the playable area when using Mrs. Freeze’s Surge traversal to launch yourself into the ground.
  
• Fixed various cases in which Mrs. Freeze would get stuck or display repeat animations when traversing some ledges.
  
• Fixed a bug that was resulting in the incorrect loot sometimes being rewarded from the “Flurry of Blows” mission.
  
• Fixed Firefly’s Pyromaniac weapons not displaying the intended reticule glow when switching to the alternate firing mode.
  
• Fixed Firefly’s Pyromaniac weapons displaying a higher than intended DPS.
  
• Fixed a bug in the Battle Pass previews that caused the “Victory Sip” Emote to play in slow motion if previewing it in rapid succession.
  
• Fixed an issue that prevented Captain Boomerang from using his traversal for a short time after throwing a Grenade or Terminaut Bits.
  
• Fixed a bug that could sometimes result in Cargonauts spawning inside of the leg of the downed Behemoth after completing the “Blast Radius” mission.
  
• Fixed a bug that caused players to fail the “Rescue The Flash???” Mayhem Mission when falling into the water after having already failed the mission previously.
  
• Fixed the non-functioning button prompt for Villain Synergies when viewing a weapon in the Episode Gear overview .
  
• Fixed the incorrect spawn rates for Elite enemies in the “Flurry of Blows” mission. Previously, too many were spawning too frequently.
  
• Fixed a bug that caused Bounce and Cluster grenades to apply multiple stacks for the Doctor Alchemy’s Philosopher’s Stone Shard Augment when only hitting a single enemy.
  
• Fixed the number of remaining Hit Squad enemies sometimes not being shown on the HUD.
  
• Fixed a disconnect that could occur when players in a multiplayer lobby begin loading a session while one of the players is on the Battle Pass screen.
  
• Fixed a bug that sometimes prevented Brainiac from entering a downed state during the “Rescue The Flash???” Mayhem Mission, preventing players from progressing.
  
• Fixed a bug that would sometimes prevent the “Excited Hop” Emote from previewing in the Battle Pass if another Emote was recently previewed.
  
• Fixed a bug that allowed the “Come at Me” melee weapons to bypass the shields of Green Lantern infused enemies.
  
• Fixed a bug that caused Mrs. Freeze to enter a free-falling state when entering the “Dead Man’s Heart” mission.
  
• Fixed a disconnect that could sometimes occur when transitioning to the Elseworld for the “Seaside Amusements” mission in a multiplayer session.
  
• Fixed a bug that could sometimes cause Care Package progress to be reset after visiting the Battle Pass or Store tabs.
  
• Fixed a bug that caused Cargonauts to display as counting towards Distraction Beacon progress when killed. This was a display issue only, as they didn’t count towards the actual progress and they are not intended to.
  
• Fixed a bug for Mrs. Freeze that sometimes caused her traversal to trigger without user input when aiming with a firearm immediately after traversing.
  
• Fixed a bug that sometimes caused daily bonuses to not be rewarded.
  
• Fixed a bug that sometimes cause AI Squad mates to remain stuck in place during the “Rescue The Flash???” mission.
  
• Fixed a bug that in rare cases would cause enemies to stop spawning after destroying the first Behemoth weak point during the “Frozen Assets” mission, leading to a game crash.
  
• Fixed a bug that sometimes prevented players from navigating the Episode Rewards menu if they had accessed it via the Map screen.
  
• Fixed a bug that prevented Mrs. Freeze’s “Cryogenic Propellant” from working if it was activated while in a multiplayer session.
  
• Fixed a bug that prevented Mrs. Freeze from progressing Contracts that require Airborne Kills while hovering via aiming in mid-air.
  
• Fixed various instances of “placeholder” text being shown in end of mission screens.
  
• Fixed the icons indicating when an AI Squad mate is targeting an enemy appearing incorrectly.
  
• Fixed a bug during the “Rescue The Flash???” Brainiac fight that could cause players to get stuck in a permanent downed state after falling into a barrier.
  
• Fixed Nth Metal not being rewarded as part of the Mayhem Daily Bonus.
  
• Fixed Captain Boomerang’s dialogue in various languages being cut off during the cinematic after completing the “Rescue The Flash???” mission.
  
• Fixed a bug whereby the map showed an incorrect number of Riddles and AR challenges in Episode 3.
  
• Fixed a bug in the Season 1 Battle Pass Menu whereby it becomes locked, preventing users from scrolling through it after reaching tier 10.
  
• Fixed a bug with a Riddler AR challenge in Episode 1 whereby one of the rings would fail to register a player passing through when wall-running through it.
  
• Fixed a bug whereby Cargonauts would sometimes clip through walls when hit by players.
  
• Fixed a bug in the store whereby Captain Boomerang’s ‘Titan Infected’ Outfit had the wrong thumbnail.
  
• Fixed a bug that occurred when Suicide Striking a Green Lantern Infused enemy with their Shield down. If the Shield recharged during the Suicide Strike animation no damage would be done by the player.
  
• Fixed a bug that sometimes caused the ‘Recruit Mrs. Freeze’ cinematic to automatically skip when first encountered.
  
• Fixed a bug that sometimes caused Mrs. Freeze’s voice to be missing in the Episode 3 intro cinematic.
  
• Fixed a bug with the Two Face Infamy Set SMG, whereby the firing sound effects would sometimes get stuck on when equipped by a bot team mate.
  
• Fixed a bug during the Episode 1 Brainiac boss fight whereby a bot team mate playing as The Joker could get stuck beneath the bridge when using traversal.
  
• Fixed a bug that sometimes prevented rewards from being collected while playing in a multiplayer server until the session had been left.
  
• Fixed a bug that caused moving items from the Inventory to the Stash to be very slow.
  
• Fixed a bug whereby opening the Grenades list in the Loadout could cause that player to disappear.
  
• Fixed a bug that caused Mrs. Freeze to experience too much knockback when hitting a laser wall while on her Ice Path.
  
• Fixed a bug that caused the tutorial message for diving to not correctly appear.
  
• Fixed a bug during Domination Assault missions that caused the UI prompt to be hard to activate, making it hard to switch dimensions.
  
• Fixed a bug with King Shark’s AI behaviour that caused him to climb down the sides of buildings instead of slamming down in optimal scenarios. It also just wasn’t cool.
  
• Fixed a bug that sometimes caused the Daily Mayhem Bonus timer to count up instead of down.
  
• Fixed a bug that caused the Key Binding Conflict warning to display incorrect information.
  
• Fixed a bug that caused enemies to contest two crystals at the same time in Bug Farm missions.
  
• Fixed a bug that whereby Shield Harvesting Destroyers who were about to explode will incorrectly cause them to briefly prevent tower capture in Domination missions.
  
• Fixed a bug that could cause Elites to ragdoll for extended periods of time when killed by King Shark’s Suicide Strike.
  
• Fixed a bug that occurred during the Episode 1 Brainiac boss fight whereby Brainiac would sometimes travel outside of the mission zone, preventing players from being able to damage him. Now THAT’s some 12th level intellect.
  
• Fixed a bug during Distraction Beacon missions whereby the countdown to the Skull Ship strike and the strike itself would become desynchronised.
  
• Fixed a bug that prevented players with a full inventory from accepting Invasion Level difficult rewards, despite the reward not requiring inventory space.
  
• Fixed a bug during the Episode 1 Mayhem mission that would cause the final Incubator to display as still being active after having destroyed it, preventing progression.
  
• Fixed a bug during some of Lois Lane’s broadcasts that caused her lips to desynchronise with the audio.
  
• Fixed a bug that sometimes caused Green Lantern Infused Snipers to fail to Teleport when players approached them.
  
• Fixed a bug that sometimes caused Lieutenants to not drop Shields when hit by a Suicide Strike.
  
• Fixed a bug that sometimes occurred during the Episode 1 Terraformer mission whereby the truck would fail to spawn at the start of the mission.
  
• Fixed a bug that caused Mrs Freeze to clip through the ceiling when using her Ice Loop in the Batman Museum exit.
  
• Fixed a bug with a tank near the Hall of Justice that caused it to stay stuck in place, unable to move.
  
• Fixed a bug that caused players to receive a ‘Connection to Host lost’ error message when attempting to play via public matchmaking.
  
• Fixed a bug that caused the sound effects for Mrs. Freeze’s traversal to get stuck if she is downed whilst traversing.
  
• Fixed a bug that prevented players from claiming Battle Pass rewards while in an Elseworld.
  
• Fixed a bug with enemy Soldiers whereby they would sometimes fail to perform their running animation, causing them to glide over surfaces.
  
• Fixed a bug that caused the sound effects for Mrs. Freeze dialling on the Lex Corp intercom keypad to fail to play.
  
• Fixed a bug that occurred during Behemoth missions whereby Hit Squad enemies would fail to drop Terminaut Bits.
  
• Fixed a bug that prevented players from being able to navigate the menus correctly after opening any ‘Gentleman Ghost or ‘Spring’ Outfit.
  
• Fixed a bug that occurred during the Chapter 2 Distraction Beacon mission whereby enemies would count for 2 charges instead of 1 when killed.
  
• Fixed a bug whereby after beating the ‘Clearout’ mission in Episode 3, players would not be rewarded with EXP.
  
• Fixed a bug during the Flash encounter in Shareholder Meeting in which players could stay alive for an infinite amount of time using the Free Flow Legendary Augment.
  
• Fixed a bug that would sometimes cause an indefinite load time when traveling to an Elseworld.
  
• Fixed a bug with enemy AI whereby during ‘Bug Out’ missions, enemies would stand away from Crystals, leaving them unprotected.
  
• Fixed a bug with the ‘All Sorts of Fun’ achievement that would cause it to fail to unlock in multiplayer sessions.
  
• Fixed a bug that occurred when a player who has completed the game hosted a multiplayer session. If they attempted the ‘Too Many Batcaves’ mission, the objective will skip ahead, rather than progressing through the mission as intended.
  
• Fixed a bug that occurred when players reached Fear Rank 13 whereby they would not receive the ‘Two-Face’s Fickle Fate’ reward as intended.
  
• Fixed a bug that allowed Mrs. Freeze to clip out of several boss arenas or story locations through repeated use of her Ice Path and Loop-De-Loop traversal abilities.
  
• Fixed a bug with the Parasite’s Power Absorption melee weapon, whereby its sound effect wouldn’t activate properly.
  
• Fixed a bug that occurred in the Episode 1 Terraformer mission whereby when players shot at specific enemies while in a multiplayer session they would be disconnected.
  
• Fixed a bug that could rarely cause players to be caught in an indefinite loop of being knocked into the sea by falling icicles.
  
• Fixed various instances where Mrs. Freeze Traversal could be used to leave the intended area of play and boss arenas.
  
• [PC] Fixed a bug whereby the values of ‘Target framerate’ would change depending on whether V-Sync was set to on or off.
  
• [PC] Fixed a bug whereby ‘165’ is missing as an option for ‘Target Framerate’
  
• [PC] – Fixed advanced vibration not working for DualSense Edge controllers
  
• [PC] Fixed Brainiac’s missing dialogue during the “Rescue The Flash???” Brainiac boss fight intro.

• Players may be unable to Scan the solution to some of Riddler’s Riddles that appear throughout the Campaign. Episodic Riddles are still able to be Scanned.
  
• In “Killing Time”, if a player exits through the portal with enough momentum that they would otherwise fall into water, they may get stuck on the exit screen.
  
  • WORKAROUND: Make sure you land on solid ground when using the exit portal.
• In some cases, Brainiac’s dialogue cannot be heard during the “Kill Brainiac 5/13” mission.
  
• When showing the Anti-Hero Shot after completing a mission, there is a chance that other Squad members will be visible in the shot in a T-pose.
  
• For Mrs. Freeze’s Classic outfit swatches, the unlock requirement is currently shown as placeholder text.

Welcome to Episode 2: “Duality”

Episode 2 of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is almost here! The big addition to this episode is a villain’s banquet of all-new gear: three Tiers of Two-Face Infamy Set to punish your enemies, as well as new gear from Black Manta, Reverse-Flash, Firefly, and more.

The Joker Elseworld map will be opening up further for you to explore, with some brand new missions and the new Green Lantern enemy type to keep your Squad guessing as Brainiac changes up the battlefield once more.

And for those of you who love to know exactly what we’ve been up to, here are the summarised patch notes and change list.

• New Green Lantern Infused Enemies
  
  • These tricky new enemies are able to summon Green Lantern Constructs, turning up the pressure on the Squad. Green Lantern Infused enemies are immune to all direct damage until their Constructs have been destroyed, meaning you’ll need your target prioritisation game to be on point when tackling them.
• Added a New Mission – ‘Out of Orbit’
  
  • Brainiac is phasing in Corrupted Justice League Watchtowers to locate his next target. By leaving these Corrupted Watchtowers partially phased in, they are invulnerable to attacks from the Squad, which is where Hack comes in to lock them down and allow Task Force X to get to work.
    
    Brainiac’s forces will be assaulting Metropolis from two dimensions at once. Enemies in another dimension cannot be harmed, but will still disrupt your ability to destroy the Corrupted Watchtower. That means your Squad will be switching between dimensions to take out Brainiac’s forces, lock down all the Control Points, and ultimately destroy the Corrupted Watchtower!
    
    The Watchtower has its own defences to contend with, making this a challenging but incredibly fun new way to bring the fight to Brainiac.
• Added a New Enemy Type – ‘Promotinaut’
  
  • Scientific progress never stops in Colu, and in Episode 2 Brainiac’s R&D division will begin rolling out a new type of Terminaut to contend with. The
    Promotinaut is a support enemy that can promote enemies to their next, more powerful level of mutation. Any Grunt enemy becomes a Bomber, and Bombers are promoted to the terrifying Destroyer.
• Added 11 new Squad Skills across Total Character Levels 120, 135 and 150
  
• Increased the base number of rewards earned for completing missions in Metropolis during Season Play from 2 to 3 (excludes Smash and Grab which remains 2)
  
• Power levels of Infamy Sets tiers have been equalised, with different tiers now representing levels of complexity in playstyle.
  
• Changed how Mastery Level progression is calculated, by increasing the offset from +2 to +5, on top of the average of the highest three mastery levels completed.

Greetings people of Metropolis!

In this week's Developer Update we are going to show some of the gameplay changes we have planned for Episode 2. From looking at both our own internal data, and from listening to community sentiment we've worked on a series of improvements that we believe will make for a better experience in terms of hunting for new gear, fighting Brainiac's forces, and overall quality-of-life.

Below is a list of several changes that we plan to implement when Episode 2 releases next month.


Let's talk Infamy Sets, Notorious items and loot rollout. Our intent with the distributing the Infamy Set tiers and the Notorious items across our Mastery Levels was to have a more gentle onboarding to the increasing complexity of the Infamy sets and build configurations. The intent was basically that as you progress through the Mastery Levels, the content would get harder but you would get Infamy Sets to counter that and, as long as you play into your build, you wouldn't really struggle until you hit the higher Mastery Levels. Having the most build permutations happen at the later Mastery Levels meant that we didn't really get the build meta going until very late in our End Game, which left many players wondering where all that juicy build construction was hiding.

With Episode 2, we're turning that completely on its head. ALL Infamy Set tiers and Notorious items will be possible to acquire starting from Mastery Level 1. You can still rely on the Episode Rank rewards to predictably and reliably give you all the loot the Episode has to offer, but now you have a chance to get a Tier 3 Infamy Set item drop from Mastery 1.

In addition to this, we're changing our philosophy when it comes to the Infamy Set tiers. Our original intent was that Tier 1 was the easiest to play, but also the lowest power potential and Tier 3 was the hardest to play but had the highest damage potential. Of course, the way our Mastery Levels are balanced, at higher Mastery Levels that meant that Tier 3 was pretty much the only viable Infamy Set.

Our new philosophy is essentially to flatten the power difference between the Tiers, and create space between the tiers in how much freedom they offer. In Episode 2, each Tier 1 Infamy Set will be designed around a few specific playstyles. You'll see that one or two core mechanics are buffed, and keeping uptime on those buffs won't be a challenge. That means optimal Tier 1 play will encourage you to master those specific core mechanics, and if you can handle that you'll be able to reach damage outputs that were previously only possible with a Tier 3 set. On the other end of the spectrum, Tier 3 gear will be the most flexible in terms of core mechanics - our goal is that you can leverage pretty much any playstyle using a Tier 3 set. However, it will be the most complex Infamy Set when it comes to uptime. You'll have to use all your skills to keep the buffs going, but the payoff will be that you have more freedom in which core mechanics to use. Tier 2 sits somewhere in the middle.

When Episode 2 launches, we'll be watching closely to see how this new approach to Infamy Sets is working, so stay tuned for more tweaks in future updates!


With the flattening of the Infamy Set tiers, we want to make sure there's still something to chase in the later Mastery Levels. That's why we're introducing an additional four Master grades (for a total of 5) that Infamy and Notorious items can drop with. Each grade will be more powerful than the last, and you can expect the highest (Master 5) to only drop from very high Mastery Levels.


One piece of feedback we've heard since launch is that players didn't have enough reasons to play the Mayhem missions after beating them for the first time. We think we have just the right reward for you to fight for. Introducing Corrupted Notorious items. These twisted pieces of gear have been subjected to the Elseworld's corruption, changing their unique Augment to provide a warped and seriously powerful version of the weapon. Being able to build around these Corrupted effects is a path to some of the highest power in the game, so Corrupted Notorious items will be very rare drops from the Episode 2 Mayhem mission. But trust us, their power will be worth it.

To give an example, we'll have to give you a peek at one of the upcoming Notorious items in Episode 2: Firefly's Firestorm. The standard version of this red-hot Grenade sets all enemies hit on fire, and increases the radius of your next Grenade by 50% for each enemy you Burn, up to a maximum of 200%!

The Corrupted version turns up the heat even more: it Burns every enemy hit, but instead of increasing the blast radius, instead the damage of your next Grenade is buffed by 200% for each enemy you Burn, up to a maximum of 1000%!!

This is just a taste of the power you'll be able to harness with Corrupted items, if you're brave enough to face Brainiac to find them!

You can expect more of these items too in future Episodes.


We're really happy to announce that with the launch of Episode 2, you'll be able to break down items straight from the Batpod drop in the mission reward screen. This is the first of several quality-of-life changes that we have planned for our inventory system, so watch out for more info here in future Developer Updates.


First off, let's talk Mutators. Our intent with these was to give just enough friction in the mastery level journey that you would want to reconsider your builds and push you into changing your tactics as you progress through the Mastery levels. Some Mutators were supposed to be less critical things, and some Mutators - like the Venom Frenzy Immunity - was supposed to really push you into experimenting with new builds once you reach a certain Mastery level. Essentially, we wanted to promote a more direct change in the meta to provoke new loadout configurations. It was more of a stick approach, and less of a carrot.

With Episode 2, we're fundamentally changing our approach to these Mutators. Rather than introducing friction to encourage build diversity, we're changing these to instead be gameplay bonuses! Each Mutator in Episode 2 will give you a window of opportunity to take advantage of its effect. And the gameplay benefit is something we want you to be able to build around. We don't expect you to be able to build around all 6 Mutators, realistically we want you to find the 2-3 you really like and that you can leverage with a build you like. These mutators are build enhancers. Our intent isn't that these will define your build, but rather that some of them fit the build you want to run to make it even more powerful.

A couple of new Mutators to illustrate this new approach are 'Desperation' and 'Extra Fries'. Desperation boosts your damage by 75% for every 10% of your Shield missing, incentivising a high-risk high-reward playstyle that works great with Bizarro's Undeath Ray and Hot Potato. Extra Fries grants players 1 Combo for every Critical Hit on a Burning enemy, allowing fire builds to get off to a blazing start.

While these new builds offer a variety of buffs, you'll still have to build and play creatively to get their full benefit!


Let's move on to our Incursion missions. Our original intent with these mission types was to give you all a known foundation (i.e. activity mechanics) and that the enemy types, infusion types, your character's traversal mechanics, and your build (weapon types, gear, afflictions, etc.) would provide the variety in terms of how you approach the encounter. That variety was then supposed to change up as you progress through the Mastery level. With the introduction of Mutators, your build would change, and that would be different for each Incursion mission as you progress through the mastery levels. Again, we were using more of a stick approach and less of a carrot, with friction into the system to encourage changing of builds and tactics.

With the launch of Episode 2, Lex-2 has done an analysis of the enemies in each of the Incursion encounters and will provide an aptly named Lex-2 Enemy Analysis bonus to help the Squad out. Each new Incursion mission will each have its own analysis that identifies weaknesses on the enemies, and these weaknesses make different builds really shine.

During his analysis of the mission 'Funny Pages', Lex-2 has discovered that Burning enemies will take double damage from all sources! Time for The Joker to get out there and turn up the heat.

And in 'Seaside Amusements' it seems the Squad's Critical Hits will deal 150% more damage. If they build accordingly, they might actually stand a chance...

In another quality-of-life feature for Episode 2, we'll be adding crafting recipes for most of the Legendary items you can find in Finite Crisis and Episode 1. Now you can straight up craft them, even if you haven't received them as a loot drop. That only applies to gear from previous Episodes, so the latest and greatest loot is exactly where you'd expect it: in mission rewards.

Crafting Master items
One additional thing we're adding to Crafting in Episode 2 is that there's now a chance for items to be crafted as Master versions. That means that there's a chance you'll get a Master version of an item each time you craft it, which of course is true for all crafting recipes regardless of the Episode they were introduced in. For the higher grade versions of items (Master 2-5), you'll still have to venture into the Elseworlds to score them, however!


In Episode 2 we'll be doing a pretty big balancing change to all Promethium costs across Incursion missions, Mayhem missions and Killing Time missions. This is the first step in a deeper review into our different currencies and their use, but is intended to cut down the time you spend gathering Promethium before your Squad can take on the more serious missions.

The main source of Promethium is still Raising Hell. You get a whopping 3,000 Promethium from completing the first Tier, and an increasing amount for each Tier. You also get Promethium from playing the Metropolis missions, taking out Cargonauts, from your Care Packages and from Contracts. Don't forget you get a +50% XP boost for 45 minutes from the first Metropolis mission you complete. Each subsequent mission refreshes this timer, but to be efficient you only really need to play a Metropolis mission every 45 minutes.


With Episode 2 we'll be adding an additional three Invasion difficulty levels for Metropolis, each with unique rewards and XP & Resource bonuses, to address the feedback from you all that Metropolis content is too easy when you're fully kitted out with a proper build.


All these changes will be made in the patch shortly before the launch of Episode 2. This will be the next patch for the game.

This week's update will be a rather quick one, highlighting some of the ongoing events in the game, and another awesome build guide!


Until Monday April 22nd you will earn bonus XP and Promethium while playing the game! So if you've been waiting to get your King Shark to Level 30, or wishing you could spend more time in the Elseworlds, now's your chance!


Get your spook on with the new Gentleman Ghost Outfits available in the store now! These Outfits, inspired by the haunting highwayman, offer the squad a level of dapper heretofore undreamt of, as well as new Traversal Gear effects as you glide around the city. With versions for Harley, Shark, Deadshot and Boooooomer (apologies), you'll be haunting Metropolis in style.


With The Joker's affiliation for fire, and the recent buff to Burn, it feels like Diablo Blaze has been getting all the love lately. But krispyENT has an ice-cold Freeze build for King Shark. With his mixture of Deep Freeze infused grenades and devastating melee hits, this build will truly have you feeling like the son of a god.

Hello people of Metropolis!

Now that we're a week on from the release of Season 1, in this update we wanted to cover some of the biggest topics we've seen among the community, and provide some updates on coming changes and fixes.


We are aware of several issues that players have been experiencing since Season 1 launched and have many of these fixes planned for upcoming updates. Below is a non-exhaustive list of some of the most discussed known issues with fixes coming in our next patch.

• Raising Hell issues - A number of players have been experiencing an issue that is preventing their Raising Hell playlist from completing, despite having completed all the objectives.
  
• Invisible Joker - Some players have been experiencing an issue whereby the model for The Joker turns invisible.
  
• Black Screen Issues - Some players have been experiencing an issue that results in black screen, with audio still playing after loading into the game.
  
• Steam Deck - It appears that the most recent patch for Season 1 has prevented the game from being played on Steam Deck/Linux. While Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League does not officially support Steam Deck/Linux., we have taken steps to resolve this.

We are continuing to work on fixes and improvements, as well as monitoring community feedback, for future patches.


Following player feedback during the first week of Season 1, we also have several gameplay and balancing changes planned for our next patch.

• Craze Immunity changes
  
  • Enemies are no longer immune to Venom Frenzy
    
  • Crazed enemies take 50% less damage
    
  • Craze Immunity has been renamed to Craze Tolerance

These changes will keep the fight against Brainiac fun and challenging. We will also continue to monitor community feedback on desired gameplay improvements.

To earn The Joker through gameplay, players must increase their 'Fear Rank' (this is the name of the Episode Rank for Episode 1) to 35, by completing missions in Metropolis, Strongholds & Incursions. Once Fear Rank 35 is reached, the Mayhem mission will become available, allowing players to fight a new version of Brainiac, and once he is defeated, The Joker will be added to your Squad roster.

We've seen that some players are a little unsure on the difference between Episode Rank and Mastery Level and wanted to provide some clarity on the role and intent of each.

• Episode Ranks and their subsequent rewards give a more predictable way to earn the gear in an Episode so you don’t have to grind through Incursion missions hoping to get a specific item. We noticed frustration in Finite Crisis where the RNG gods didn't always favour you and you ended up having to replay lower tiered Incursion missions because you were missing one or two items.
  
• If you look through the Episode Rank timeline you can see the new gear available (Legendary items, Notorious items and Infamy Set pieces) in each Episode. Our intent is to make sure you have a predictable way to earn it all and never have to worry about RNG, and you can gauge the time you needed to put into the game to earn a specific item.
  
• There are also cosmetic items in there, crafting recipes, additional Battle Pass XP and more, getting you a few extra goodies as you rank up.
  
• In addition, each Episode's Rank marks your journey and progress through that Episode. When you get to Episode Rank 200, you will have earned all the new pieces of gear that we added in that Episode.
  
• You earn Ranks by completing missions in Metropolis and, once you have unlocked Mastery Levels, it's collated from the three highest completed Mastery Levels of the six available Incursion missions.Metropolis missions = 0.5 - 1 rank, depending on difficulty (As indicated above the mission icon on the map) Strongholds = 1 rankIncursion missions = 1 rank
  
• Mastery Level Incursion mission = 1 rank for each Mastery Level above the previously completed Mastery Level for that mission
  
• Episode Rank Rewards are granted as soon as you rank up. If it's gear, it's found in the Bat Pod after completing a mission. Everything else (Resources, crafting recipes, XP bonuses, cosmetics, etc.) are applied directly to your account when you complete a mission that results in a rank up.
  
• Each Episode has its own Episode Rank which starts at 0. For Episode 1 - FEAR, the Episode Rank is called FEAR Rank.
  
• You can always go back to a previous Episode and increase your Episode Rank in that specific Episode.
  Episode Rank Rewards are predetermined up until Fear Rank 200 and then they are randomized (Gear and resources).

• Mastery Levels work the same as they do in Finite Crisis. You unlock them by completing the Mayhem mission (defeating Brainiac) in the Episode.
  
• Mastery Level is the increasing difficulty/challenge level that you can select when taking on an Incursion/Mayhem mission.
  
• Different blocks of Mastery Levels drop different Tiers of Infamy gear:1-13 - Tier 1 Infamy Sets14-23 - Tier 2 Infamy Sets
  
  • 24+ - Tier 3 Infamy Sets
    
  • All sets are re-added to the pool at 55+
    
  • Mastery Levels are used for Leaderboard placement.
    
  • Higher Mastery Level = higher challenge = more rewards.
• Your three highest completed Mastery Levels from the six Incursion missions make up your Episode Rank after you have unlocked Mastery Levels. We picked the three highest so you always have a choice of which Incursion missions to play and won't have to play through all of them, allowing you to focus on your favourites or decide to mix things up and play different ones.
  
• Higher Mastery Levels are unlocked based on the three highest Mastery Levels completed from the six Incursion missions, but the available Mastery Levels are active for all six Incursion missions. So, if you focus on playing only three out of the six Incursion missions, you will still have unlocked those Mastery Levels for all six Incursion missions (and the Mayhem mission as well).

We've seen questions about how Damage Reduction and Affliction Resistance works in the game, so we wanted to provide a more precise explanation for you build-crafters.

• If you have two items that both give 50% damage reduction, you won't end up with 100% damage reduction. You end up with 75% damage reduction. 50% from the first damage reduction, and 50% of the remaining 50%.1,000 damage with 50% damage reduction = 500 damage taken
  
  • 1,000 damage with an additional 50% damage reduction = 250 damage taken
    
  • You can never reach 100% damage reduction, unless you have an item that makes you temporarily immune to damage (Eg. Hugo Strange’s Specialization or King Shark’s Power of the Ancients).
• Enemies do more damage in higher difficulties/Mastery Levels, and our intent is that you can either lean into glass cannon builds and leverage your skill with traversal and situational awareness to avoid damage or lean into damage reduction to 'tank' your way through it.
  
• Some characters are inherently more tanky, so in Incursion missions where there's a lot of AOE damage, you might want to consider playing a more tanky character to push up your Mastery Levels.

• Affliction resistance augments reduce the duration of the affliction. I.e. if you have 50% affliction resistance, you are Frozen for 50% less time.
  
• Affliction resistance augments are not diminishing since they work on a duration basis. If you have two augments that both increase affliction resistance by 25%, then the total would be a 50% reduction in duration.

With the introduction of Poison in Episode 1, we wanted to share more details on the differences between Afflictions and Status Effects.

There are only 4 Afflictions: Diablo Blaze, Deep Freeze, Livewire Bolt and Venom Frenzy. Any effect that references Afflictions applies only to these 4. Enemies can only have 1 Affliction applied to them at a time, and applying a second Affliction overwrites the first. These are primarily applied by Melee weapons and Grenades that have been empowered by Ivy to apply an Affliction, but can also be applied by certain Legendary, Notorious and Infamy weapons (Black Mask's Bulletstorm, Sick Burn, The Cooler etc.). There are no current plans to introduce further Afflictions to the game, although new ways to interact and synergise with them will come in future Episodes.

Status Effects are debuffs applied to enemies, which can have a range of effects. Several examples include Slo-Mo, Bleed and the newly introduced Poison. Multiple Status Effects can be applied at once and they do not overwrite Afflictions,  so an enemy can be Frozen and Poisoned simultaneously. New Status Effects with different effects will be introduced in future Episodes.


We've seen some in the community discussing Strongholds and what those are, so we wanted to clarify this.

Every Episode, Brainiac renews his endeavour to control Metropolis by phasing in Strongholds that the Squad will be tasked to take out to push back Brainiac's larger invasion effort.

Strongholds are phased in chunks of an Elseworld that Brainiac is using to further his goal of terraforming the planet. In Finite Crisis, these are the Terraformers and the Artillery Cannon that you encountered in Chapter 7.

In Episode 1 Brainiac will be phasing in parts of The Joker's Elseworld and setting up a new set of Terraformers in addition to some Bug Outposts that you can take down for Resources, Gear, Promethium and Battle Pass XP.


Over the last few weeks, we have identified a number of accounts that have bypassed our anti-cheat systems to gain an unfair advantage, most obviously when taking top leaderboard spots. We have now taken action against several offenders who have engaged in practices that violate our terms of service, giving them a temporary ban and resetting their accounts. Any further infractions from these accounts will result in a permanent ban. We thank you for your patience as we continue to monitor this situation.

Season 1 is live! With The Joker, a new Elseworld, new gear, new missions and more all available for free to players who own the game, it’s the perfect time to jump back into the Elseworlds and see what the Season has to offer.

The Season 1 patch also brought with it plenty of gameplay changes and fixes, that has improved key issues for a number of players.


Following an extended maintenance window, we’re thrilled to see so many players enjoying The Season of The Joker. For those of you who were waiting to get online during our maintenance period, thank you for being patient and we hope that you’re enjoying it.

There is plenty of new content to discover with the launch of Season 1, and we hope that the fixes introduced in this patch will allow players to enjoy it as seamlessly as possible!

We believe the fixes to issues relating to logging in, multiplayer sessions and load times have improved these issues for many of our players, but if you are still experiencing these issues, please head to our Bug Reporting Website[ssktjl.bugs.wbgames.com] and report your issue.

We are continuing to look into a number of fixes that could not be included in this update, such as fixes for Raising Hell issues, further multiplayer and server stability issues and more.

Lastly, we’re aware of a couple of issues that have appeared since the patch on Tuesday, namely that some players have been experiencing disconnects while playing, and that Incursion Missions are not visible on the map for some players.

We released a server hotfix on Tuesday evening that we believe has resolved the disconnects and we’re continuing to look into the missing Incursion Missions. This issue doesn’t affect Season 1 Incursions, so there’s a host of new missions for you to tackle while we investigate.


As you take the fight to Brainiac this Episode, you’ll encounter some new Incursions! These Incursions have just one objective: kill some bad guys, but each of the three will feature a different group of enemies to fight! With such a variety of battles, it’s important to have the right gear for each Incursion, as each will require a different playstyle and set of tools.

• Laugh Riot will have you battling hundreds of Grunt enemies, meaning that area of effect attacks are just what you need! Polka-Dot Man’s Spotty Explosions can decimate swathes of enemies at once, making it the perfect crowd control for this mission, and Dr. Poison’s Maru II Injector’s Alt Fire will spread Poison to many Grunts at once, leaving them easy to finish off! With this many poisoned enemies, Pay It Four-Ward turns kills into lots of damage for… More kills!
  
• Knock ’em Dead pits you against Brute enemies of all kinds: Tanks, Bombers, Destroyers and Choppers! With enemies this tough, you’ll need some powerful single target damage to take them down. Merlyn’s Blinding Shot will deal a lot of Critical Hits, and reduce the damage that those terrifying Destroyers deal to you, and Acu-Punch-Ture will boost your Crit Damage sky high, allowing you to take down some giants.
  
• Imposter Syndrome features Infused enemies, meaning you’ll be fighting against the power of the Justice League. We can borrow a bit of Batman’s power, however… the power of prep time! As a side effect of the changes Brainiac is making to his forces in Episode 1, Batman Infused enemies are particularly vulnerable to the Deep Freeze Affliction, so equipping your gear with this Affliction mean you’ll be icing them like cupcakes. Flash Infused enemies take bonus damage after you Counter an enemy to charge your Speed Force Decoupler, so ‘Called Shot’ is perfect for a Counter build to make sure you’re always dealing maximum damage.
