I can't play the original version

Hi, i try to play Monkey Island 2 in original version, i try tipping F10 but nothing happens. The game goes very very slow aswell. In the installation Steam asked me if i wanted to install another program and i said no. I think that the error comes from that. I don't know how to make, that Steam ask me again if i want to install that program (it was called something like FrameNet, but i do not remember it). Can someone help me?

Try F1, not F10.

That 'other program' that windows is asking you about is the Visual C redist package. You need to click 'Yes' on this not 'No'.

It is Windows requesting you install these libraries for the game to work properly - its not the game asking you. Windows asking you to install a redist for dlls missing from your system when you run an exe that requires them is completely normal.

That is also why it isn't working properly for you.
