i saw on the page that the support is not guaranteed for newer version from windows xp/vista

I mean, on the store page it says this: "System Requirements: This app only supports older Operating Systems (Windows Me / 2000 / XP / Vista), and might not run on newer Operating Systems" But Steam itself doesn't support these older operating systems anymore? So what's the point of still trying to sell this? Wouldn't it be better if it got updated/remade to work on current day OS?...
