Chasing spawns for fish, junk, debris to place your gathering huts isn't really fun micro management. It also doesn't make too much sense in the grand scheme of things, or the "immersiveness" of the game. Why would I, or my people rebuild a wood gathering hut all the way on the other side of my "town" when I can just build a few planks out to it, for far less wood and effort, and just have them gather it? Why do they need a worker? Are they transporting batteries back and forth? Might as well build a hamster wheel if I have to use a worker.

playing through a second time since the recent updates... Resources are much harder to get and getting happiness is proving really difficult when house quality is being applied properly because comfort and decoration is being applied properly. I don't like this little mechanic. You build a structure on your worker and it kills them. I wouldn't mind it, but the workers operate so slowly and sitting waiting for them to collect resources because they have chosen to collect where you want to build is very annoying. Especially when you have provided a handy platform for them to use, out of the way of your build area....

Is there anyway to .... stop your population from growing? I'm at 150+ population and it just keeps pumping even though i'm not accepting any new refugees
