Gather resources, craft new items, travel across the galaxy and fight the Red Darkness — there are lots of things to do in Cubic Odyssey, and there’s a character class for each! Here are the four archetypes you’ll be able to choose for your adventure.

Miner can quickly gather resources and conserve energy batteries. Miner has an increased chance to get extra minerals from any source, whether on a planet or in space, which makes him a great choice at the beginning of the game. Those who have played the demo are already well acquainted with him!

Crafter, as the name suggests, receives bonuses while crafting items. Equipment is much cheaper to repair, and consumables are cheaper to make. More importantly, new equipment has a chance to appear with improvements from the start!

Pilot is the class for you if space battles are your forte! Ship shields are more durable, energy consumption by the ship’s systems is more effective, ship repairs are cheaper, and you level up faster in space battles!

Knight is the best class to face off with the Red Darkness. He’s faster and more effective in cleaning up infected cubes and gets extra rare resources from dark enemies. Levelling up as a Knight gets you unique rewards and equipment in temples!

When playing with friends, share your duties to excel at everything!

The Steam Next Fest continues, and we’re happy to see your interest in Cubic Odyssey. Thank you for your feedback and comments; they will help us in the further development and improvement of the game.
While reviewing your wishes we noted that there was a strong demand for multilingual support, so we’ve added localizations for 11 languages to the demo version. Although these are still not final versions of the translations, we hope that the game will become better for many of you. Having said this, we understand that there’s a lot of work to do to improve these localizations.

We’ve prepared a single-player demo for Cubic Odyssey.

The demo consists of one planet that players are free to explore while meeting the locals, fighting enemies, mining ore, building bases and fixing their spaceship. There are about 2-4 hours of exciting gameplay to introduce you to the game’s mechanics and quests. The demo is dedicated to the Miner class who has the perfect set of skills for your first foray into the Cubic Odyssey universe.
After you finish the demo, please leave your feedback — this is very important to us. You can find the link to the survey in the main menu. Since we plan to make changes to the game according to your feedback, we won’t transfer your demo progress to the release version. So feel free to try out everything, experiment, and freely enjoy the game and then tell us what you think!

It is a paid game. Meaning you buy it once and play, there’s no need to pay additionally for anything. We may decide to add paid DLC with new content in the future.
We understand that our publisher is known first and foremost for its free-to-play online games, but Cubic Odyssey is a completely different project developed by an indie studio and is a buy-to-play game.

— Does the game require an Internet connection?

Yes, depending on your space suit you’ll be able to spend a certain amount of time in outer space to mine rare minerals from asteroids, visit space stations, collect loot, find and repair abandoned ships.

— Are game worlds procedurally generated?

Prepare for a galactic adventure in Cubic Odyssey! This open world journey begins right as your space ship crash lands on a faraway planet. To survive, you’ll have to collect resources, refine them and craft everything: from tools, weapons, armor, and outposts to ground vehicles and space ships that allow you to freely explore this unique world! And if a simple adventure is too trivial for you, transform planets, cities, and the nature itself as you like: you’re limited only by your imagination!

Hundreds of star systems are open for you to explore, each containing planets with a day and night cycle brimming with life, full of pirate bases, dangerous ruins, and busy cities populated with NPCs. Your main goal is to stop the Red Darkness — a galactic infection that devours planets and causes nature and all living beings to mutate.

Feel the exhilarating speed as you travel from planets to stars, teleport between cities, use speeders to travel on the surface or a jetpack to quickly leave a deep cavern. Join other players in a co-op mode to battle giant enemies, launch orbital laser strikes and build megastructires together.
