Not to be rude, but isn't that kinda what devs do when they do a patch, fix bugs that could be introduced from software updates? I mean, this is the only game in my account I have ran into that has this problem, leaning towards the fact that the bug is in the game, not the driver. Especially the fix is to have the nVidia driver handle color settings instead of the native app.
Very similar thing happens here. And it's definitely not only our game, if you really want to go into detail on this issue - feel free to google it up. Or start with the links I've given to NVidia forums in the OP and dig from there.
As a gamer I wouldn't care if devs can fix it or not - I'd demand a fix - I paid for a product and it doesn't work. I understand that attitude. Unfortunately, stuff is not that black and white and we're depending on OS and drivers to do their work properly. This is a case between OS and driver that we cannot fix. Maybe the engine developers find a workaround somewhere in the future. That's all we can hope for as a dev.
DC_vipeout im not getting that flickering anymore after switching to windowed fullscreen so far so good.
When there's no place for the camera to show up close without getting into other geometry, then you will not see a close-up execution.
