Best Total War game in the franchise. Best battle mechanics, best faction balance, and best overall quality. It's a shame they only went downhill after this masterpiece. This is the crown jewel of the Total War franchise. It's the quintessential perfect game.

This game sucks. It's concept is great, but the AI is always in Hard mode. They earn way more money and have better outcomes than you, and you have to overcome it with diplomacy... Which is fine.. What's not fine is if you win, they win harder. Always. Whoever they may be, they win harder. If you take over a large portion of land and momentarily find peace, you will soon find war and lose by attrition. They seem to have an infinte amount of money too. You have to know when to tax high, in order to self train your troops... but when you do, you wil be attacked because the AI knows ALL. There's just no chance of winning, and if there is.. its by margins. As far are domination goes.. All this on Easy mode.. They have more money in Hard mode which makes no sense. It's a fun game one moment, then hard work the next.
