Putting away weapons
As i type this, i am trying to put away my weapons like Ross Scott did with "Freeman's Mind" so i can take screenshots in Xen with no HUD or weapons to spoil the view. I have tried using "Impulse 200" and tried binding it as well, but for some reason the console does not seem to recognize the commands. Which is odd as it accepted "cl_drawhud 0" no problem. Does putting away your weapon require a different command that i'm not aware of?

bind p "impulse 200" works for me

Freeman's Mind uses different mods and edits. Check the last video of Freeman's Mind with the credits.

If you're just looking to take screenshot, then cl_drawhud 0 and r_drawviewmodel 0 are what you need.

Impulse 200 doesn't work for putting the weapon away. also i know how to turn the HUD off, i just want to put the weapon away so it doesn't get in my way.

Type sv_cheats 1 and then type impulse 200.

r_drawviewmodel 0 should hide them if you are having still having this problem somehow

Holstering your weapons should also further increase movement speed especially while sprinting.
