"Could not find a suitable audio device"?
hello! i love timespinner and i've played it a ton. hadn't opened it for a while and i tried just today, but after reinstalling it, i keep getting the error "Could not find a suitable audio device. Verify that a sound card is installed, and check the driver properties to make sure it is not disabled." i found someone else talking about it on reddit about a year ago, but i don't know if there's been a solution? my sound card is working fine (i'm on a macbook pro from 2015, running macos monterey), i've never had this problem with any other game and my sound works fine. the error won't even let me launch the game. :(

Hey, so sorry to hear that you're hitting this. It's difficult to debug this since it worked on my Mac (which now is out of commission from a swollen battery X_X). The porting dev suggested running the game with the command line "SDL_AUDIODRIVER=dummy" but I think that'd make the game have no audio :(

I'll let you know if I find a fix for this error! So sorry for the inconvenience.

Was a solution to this bug ever found? I just tried the game and I'm getting the same error. Macbook pro 2019 running Sonoma.
