Just more proof showing too many gamers do not understand game economics, nothing more

Cant wait for them to close SMITE 1 if the future and go full time on SMITE 2. It will happen eventually even if they said it wont its already dying hard.

I won't be going to smite 2 when they close smite 1. It doesn't feel like smite.

the only reason i am still playing smite is cuz it is chill, you can troll without punishment and over all not give a single ♥♥♥

My humble opinion (even if i buy the ultimate fondation for smite 2) is Smite 1 is being to be shutdown. No more reward to team players, disciples*2 for free and and quest for "old" skins... I'm feeling it bad, very bad. And it makes me a bit sad. So many hours wuth Rexsi or SamDaDude (special thanks) to learn builds/anti, communication, etc... The final quest ends in 40 days, so we ll see. But, I launch Dota2 (with its pro communuty and build schemes very complex) and LOL (with its so toxic community) and, but it's strictly personnal, Smite 2 seems to be now a mix with nicer graphics. Maybe i'm wrong. I deeply hope so, but these days are probably gone... Time to let the "new" generation of players, with a beta free version (yeah boys) to take the place.
As now an "old" player, it was a honor to learn, battle, win or lose and to say GL&HF.

Smite 2 isn't that great

I've still got 150 achievements to do before I move on Smite 2.

Exactly. So many of these gaming companies seem to think by making a worse version then shutting the OG game will make people wanna play their new game?

Historically, it never worked out. It will be the same here.

Havent played Smite 2 yet but already see a huge issue, god pack doesnt transfer over. So they expect us to pay again for that? Like atleast let us have all the gods from the previous game. I see people defending this too, its not a good practice to make your customers pay for the same thing twice.

Possibly in part due to company losing money on other products and changes

Same. Once they close this one down, I probably won't play anything else in the genre ever again. Smite 2 just doesn't pull me in. Some guardians are just way too strong in Smite 2. Ymir and Geb seem like their cds barely exist. And the visual effects are just overwhelming for me. It looks noisier than in Smite.
