Tourists are leaving FFXIV and why you should be happy.
The 'players' that complained about button bloat will no longer plague this game with their inane criticisms that got Kaiten removed, Summoner reworked and Ninja butchered to be literally unplayable at the start of EW. It is time for XIV to start healing. :lunar2019coolpig:

im a long time non tourist. and i like the summoner upgrade. its just that upgrade is still bare bones and needs work.

when i play a summoner what i should be doing is summoning stuff. the summoner does that now albeit flashy and kinda boring. it lives up to its own name now

That is actually kind of hard to dispute since summoner does indeed summon massive crap now (Titan cheeks) that blocks my screen.

I came from one of the many concurrent simulations running and just wanted to bring a shred of hope for the poor and wizened.

Played for a good 5 or 6 years, enjoyed every piece of content up until the launch of Dawntrail. I like the new abilities but I dislike the constant streamlining. Do I count as a Tourist just for disliking the expansion in general?

Hmm nah. There's still a ton of button bloat. Making the 1-2-3 combo for many jobs one button similar to PvP would be a good start.

I decided that the unreal amount of copium required to play this game is simply not worth the health risk anymore so I decided to leave.

If they ever make it so that I do not need to replace my lungs with a copium tank I will comeback, but for now I will follow my doctors advice and pass on this crap.

Ask me how I know you weren't around for Heavensward

Doesn't matter if I was around in XIV's early days. There's still a button bloat problem.

no, but there is a you problem
I'm a long time player and I un-subbed because the game is to easy (Among other problems).

Are you sure it's just casual "tourists" leaving?

The problem is that this - console game - has maxed out its core complexity long ago (basically HW) and they have no way to add to it other than by adding artificial complexity by piling up useless job resources that combo into another resources that combo into “X dmg to target and X% less to all around” bloat finishers along with them desperately holding onto dial-combos and positionals.

If they’d fix the jobs so they’d play fluid without bloat and max. ♥♥♥♥♥♥ hardcoded rotations like their PvP iterations then the whole PvE facade would come down.

Basically, in PvE the real enemy is your job, but you have to choose one.

Of course, I'm always right unless proven otherwise. :winter2019cooldog:

How so? Please explain in detail. :)
Tourists may leave, but we continuously get a new stream of tourists. Unfortunately, Square Enix prefer to chase tourism, and as such, nothing will improve.
No, I don't think I will
