If you can't find medium populated servers then just wait in queue, sry. If you decided to play this game, then you already should've been prepare to invest quite bit of time for each session to begin with.
Do some small chores or prepare a drink or smth while you wait
One tip I can give is to join a server queue as close to the end of the match as possible (you can see how long a server has been in its current match in the server list), since that's the time when the largest amount of players leave and the queue empties much quicker (you might see the queue suddenly jump 10+ players).
For me, personally, I don't mind waiting to get into a server because I only really play on one server since I know the admins are active and the regular players (like myself) are fun to play with. It's worth the wait, usually.
I'm not sure what region you're in, but for me in North America I see at least 6 non-full servers with 80+ players (these will likely be at capacity with queues of their own soon), and then maybe another 6 already full servers with like 1-3 people in queue, where the wait would be maybe 5 minutes or less.
