I'm playing Exodus (GOG Version) and i just recovered the caravan.

Now i need to go to the port but i haven't finished the map, Should i just ignore the main quest and continue exploring or can i do it before the next part of the main story?

really nice game but watch out , the save system can ruin all the game
If u play on ranger hard back up yr save ...if not, use auto save before you enter in a mission

I had to use a few back up due to some bugs
save overwrite again and again leading to three same save points in a middle of a dialogue and when i tried to reload the game ( it was in caspienne in a ship) a door wich is supposed to be close after the dialogue, remained open ( softlock) wich caused all kind of bugs

I m use to do back up so i wasnt upset
i m done with the game after 126 h (3runs ranger hard it was really hard for a first run with a pad andmy lack of skill haha , reader was cool after the painfull run to enjoy the story a bit faster and a normal one)
i finally completed my 100%
i take time to explore and try things , different way to do the missions etc...

yeah you can take as long as you want and I would recommend exploring more as theres some important gadgets, weapon parts and suit upgrades in that level

Yeah i was missing the throwables harness and i recently noticed throwing knife are pretty good against those humaninal things. Besides you can recover them. I'm only missing two more spots on the map those "?" i mean.

hi
Use your binoculars , find a roof or something to do so , crane is good spot for example
,zoom and slowly watch all the map
As soon as u hear a little "click " sound stop moving
then u ll see a white little bioculars icone ( sometimes u move too fast , so just search the ckick and stay until the icone appear)
It means u have found a new spot for deeper research , it helps a lot to find all good items for artyom
u can see them on the map with an "?" icone

Already did, i had all spots on map, the problem was that i advanced the main story accidentally i mean, i knew i was doing it but i didn't want to do it again if i decided to cancel and come back later, so i finished it and ended up advancing the story.

and when i say do it again after coming back later i mean killing enemies again in case they respawned and such.

anyway i just left Volga and i managed to find all upgrades and exploring all ? spots.

Awesome, thank you for this amazing tips. Yeah i'm very careful as well. I backup my saves and use the one and only manual save as strategically as i can. I will pin this answer since other players might find this information useful specially the info about the Nigh Vision Googles. They are quite a game changer.

nice , i forgot to tell u about the corrupted save bug , if u see this kind of message , dont overwrite yr save , just disable the cloud option from steam
it will fix the bug and u wont see any message of this kind after doing this
