Clarified achievement expectations?
I get some of them are relatively simple to understand, but some are quite cryptic. Zealot and Barkeep are two of the ones that I refer to.

Zealot's discription is simply: Your warriors' conviction is only matched by your own.

Reason for mentioning it? Used divine abilities 1700+ times, have the 5% production buff from it; no achievement. The picture of the in-game achievement matches the zealot achievement in steam, so I figured they were linked, as most of the other achievements are. If this refers to conversions of towns on the world map then I ask that it is clarified how many and if there is a specific deity.

Barkeep's description is this: Another round? Your heroes seem to like the drinks here!

I assume this means you must have a full tavern of heroes, which includes the science ability to have up to eight heroes. I currently have four and am farming for glory, as the cost to hire the 5th is 5000 glory. Since the diplomacy tab has 5 other nations you can fight for 10 glory apeice, the green clan raids for 10? (or so) glory, and each individual town you can conquer for 5-10 glory apeice, this number is highly inflated imho, especially considering my four heroes are all level seven or higher, with 155 spare loot crates and 13500 spare experience to bestow on new ones.

Would love some guidance, or these issues to be addressed!

Zealot unlocked on the 250 crusade for me. At the time I also had 1000+ conversions, 4500+ divine ability uses, built the cathederal wonder and used every diety several times.

Barkeep, working on getting 8 heroes

Ah, so that's how you get it, how very "extra helpful" ;) of you.

I didn't think the Crusade bonus was worth it much, so I'd just been doing Conversions. I figured the Achievement was something like 5000 Conversions, but 250 Crusades is relatively easy by comparison.

I can confirm that "Barkeep" is NOT unlocked by hiring 8 heros. The cost for the 9th one is 500k glory, which is really insane. At my current rate of around 2000 glory per day i will be done in 250 days. :/

In addition to that, it is not 100% certain that it is even possible to hire 9 heros since the research topic clearly says "up to 8".

Has anybody figured out the exact requirements for "Barkeep"?
As I have written above I can confirm that it is NOT unlocked by hiring 8 heros. I am still far away from getting the "Hire 1000 heros" achievement so that could be it. However I am kind of doubting it...

Hireing 1000 heros did not pop the "Barkeep" achievement. It seems that even the ingame achievement is bugged.
That means I am out of ideas. I most probably won't try to farm 500k glory since that will probably take a year and seems even more unrealistic than everything i tried until now.

hey man, looks like we're the only people still playing this game.
i'm currently trying to get in touch with a guy who has the achievement to ask him how he did it.

Good to know that somebody else is still playing this game! :D

According to SteamHunters[steamhunters.com] 2 people have the achievement. I have tried to contact both but no luck yet.

Hi guys! I know it's quite some time ago... but did you ever found out how to achieve the Barkeep achievement? :)
KentKareless 21 Feb, 2024 @ 1:36am
You can use this guide to unlock it.

Unfortunately it is not possible to obtain this achievement without modifying the games code, but since even with the modification you still need to meet the requirements of the achievement, in my eyes it is acceptable to do so.

Oh, I did not see this. Great, thank you for the link! I will give it a try :)

Hello again. It worked perfectly, thank you again :)
It also gave me a chance to take a look into the code in other aspects.
I found a small (and probably REALLY dirty) workaround to bring back offline production somehow. I did not check it in detail. But I gave it several tries, checked for intervals of 10 secs and tried to find a value to bring somehow a good result. I will post it in the other thread, maybe it helps some others as well (or they even like to improve it further).
And to you: Thank you again, without you I wouldn't have found this!! :)

You are welcome! :)

It is a shame, when broken/unfinished games are abandoned by their developer!
Brakahrr 22 Feb, 2024 @ 5:49am
:)

Yeah, it's really a pity. Especially when it's a game you like. But who knows what's going on behind the scenes... but I absolutely understand you, it's nasty when you are aiming for 100% and it's not possible because of some broken game code... :-/
