Bugs,Issues and Requests

Hi folks,
Please report all your bugs and issues in this thread. I will keep a list at the top of known/posted issues so that you might have an easier time seeing if I'm aware of the issue or if someone else is having it as well.

I can only apply patches and updates after 17:00 GMT (07 PST) so you should keep that in mind when waiting for your issue to be resolved :)

Known issues:

- Some users report game not running on Windows 10 [UNSOLVED]
- Some users report game keeps running in Steam after quitting [UNSOLVED]
- Lingering resolution issues [UNSOLVED - VIDEO OPTIONS TO BE ADDED SOON]
- Game needs a Windowed mode [SOLVED]
- Buildings achievement not working [SOLVED]
- Exit game from main menu not working [SOLVED]
- Scrolling issues on buildings tab and Help tabs [SOLVED]
- Tutorial restarts on a new colony [SOLVED]
- Social media links not working [SOLVED]
- FPS rates skyrocketing on minimized game [SOLVED - fps capped at 60]
- Kaamos' abilities don't properly toggle off [SOLVED]
- Selling items and trading items can both be active at the same time [SOLVED]
- Army goes into negative after certain events at high values [SOLVED]

Requests:

- Game should remember windowed mode preference when playing again [DONE]
- Population Growth toggle should be somehow visible while UI minimized [NOT DONE]
- Windowed mode should prefer height over width [DONE]
- Make drafting stop at a certain, user-defined threshold [NOT DONE]
- Undo button for sold hero items [DONE]
- Total hero bonuses view [NOT DONE]

Installed, Tried to load but failed. And now its stuck "running" and i can't find its process.

Don't know if it's a bug or intended. When I open building/research tab mouse scroll only works when my cursour is over the slide bar which is a bit annoying. It would be better if I could mouse scroll while my cursour is over the building/research. Would makes looking through them much more pleasent.

P.S.Installed on windows 10 - works fine :)

Going to look into this. Can you please share a screenshot of the game and tell me if you Started a new game and then loaded or simply went to Continue game? You can send the screenshots/more info at support@verysimpleideastudios.com or post them here

TSE Imperator has Idle Civilization

Game didn't the 75 structures achievement but DID see the 150 structures one.

Windows 10 user here: no issues

Thanks for reporting! Yeah, that's somewhere in between. I have to adjust the scrolling on that, I'll get back to you on it :)

Same here, 150 and 300 building achievement gained, but 75 is still blank

I can't even load the game X_X but it still jusy says running without loading the program

I do have the same issue. when I try to start the game, my steam freezes up, I get a steam bootstrap does not work, and I have to restart steam. Once steam is fully up again, IC is set to running without any obvius programs in the task manager.

Bug: When clicking on the ? Help prompts on the windows, scrolling does not reset after opening/closing the window. Text from one prompt seemed to be having an effect on the scroll of the next prompt. Some panels had text completely outside the field of view.

Cant exit the game from main menu, get an error message or if I already has started a game it exit into the game, and then I have to exit the game from the menu inside the game.

I think there's a bug with the fps in the game becoming uncapped when it's minimized. My fans start spinning up like crazy and steam shows it in like the 800 fps range, then goes back down to 60 when not minimized.

Also, a windowed version would be great, 30 fps cap or option for that would be nice, and an option to get rid of the tutorial pop-ups, especially after starting a new colony.

Yes I also noticed this isue.
You can switch to windowed mode and back by using ALT+ENTER key combination.. I belive this is default key combination in Unity Game Engine that Idle Civilization uses.

Really tiny UI issue: If you play with the UI minimized then you don't have access to the toggle population button. The other buttons you don't really need to play but that one you kind of want within one click and not 2.

Love the game so far, still in early game.
