Well, I think Bandai Namco might remove Denuvo if they had a good reason to update this game. There's a bug where the game hangs up when trying to play the fishing minigame in Traditional Chinese.

The reason why Denuvo gets removed in newer games after some time, is because Denuvo switched to a subscription model around 2020.

Any game released before that has a different license, might be even lifetime. It's not just Berseria that still uses Denuvo, even Square Enix's Final Fantasy XV uses it as it was released before 2020:

Getting frostpunk with all dlc's its a better investment than supporting anti.consumer game with denuvo drm.

exactly, its too bad they dont remove the denuvo from these old games, i understand the new games during the launch period but after a certain amount of time they all should have denuvo removed for the customers sake of game preservation and access. any and all games having to be online or call 'home' every set period of time in single player games are a cancer on modern gaming.
