Here's a quick run-down of regularly asked questions for GWYF and their answers! If you think anything else should be added to the list, feel free to get in touch.

Q. I've come across a problem, where can I report it?
A. Our support team watches the 'Report a Problem' section here on Steam! We greatly appreciate any information that can help us track down and fix issues!

Q. Can I golf with friends locally offline?
A. Yes, you can create an offline lobby and add players at the bottom to create an offline hot seat mode where you take turns to shoot.

Q. Can I use a controller?
A. There is controller support which works everywhere except for the course editor. The console versions have full controller support.

Q. Are there any plans for cross play?
A. It isn't currently being worked on or planned, but we appreciate your feedback on it.

Q. How many courses does Golf With Your Friends have?
A. There are currently 14 official courses, including the Bouncy Castle DLC. There are also thousands of amazing community courses in the Steam Workshop.

Q. Can I create my own courses?
A. Yes, you can use the in-game level editor to create your own courses and share them via the Steam Workshop.

Q. How do I find community courses?
A. Here in the community section, you can access the 'Workshop' in a tab above this thread.

Q. Do I need to have the community course on my system to join a lobby with that map?
A. No, the game will automatically download the community course if you join a custom lobby as the game loads.

Q. Will console versions be able to access the workshop/course editor.
A. Currently consoles do not have access to these features which the Steam/PC version has, but we are looking at ways to bring community maps to console after launch.

Q. Can I use remote play to hot seat GWYF?
A. Remote play is available for GWYF.

Q. Does Golf With Your Friends have a discord?

Q. Are there cosmetics in the game?
A. There are ball colors plus collectible hats, floaties and ball trails in the game! You can also purchase extra cosmetics with the Caddy Pack, Summer Party and Racing Packs.

Q. How do you get cosmetics?
A. On Steam cosmetics drop randomly with play time! Around 45 minutes of play time, 3 times a day.


Q. Does everyone in the lobby need to own the DLC to play?

A. Nope, only the host needs to own the map for a lobby of up to 11 other players to play the new course!

Q. What is included in the Bouncy Castle course?

A. 18 Bouncy Castle-themed holes, and new cosmetics! Tied balloon floatie, inflatable sticker, hard candy sticker, balloons trail.

Q. Were there any bug fixes with this update?

You do not need to purchase or own the DLCs to get access to fixes (e.g. the cosmetics drop fix)! You can find a full set of patch notes here.

Q. What are the Summer Party and Racing Packs?

A. These are packs that feature cosmetics (including the all-new ball stickers) for you to style your ball with.

Q. Can I get the new achievements without owning the DLC?

A. Yes! You can earn the achievements for free, providing the host of the lobby has the DLC unlocked.

Level Editor FAQs

Q. How do you snap objects when you place them?

A. Currently, snap only enables once you've put an object down for the first time. Then, when you move it, it will snap if the toggle is on. We would recommend setting the X and Z to 0 so that the snapping is on grid correctly!

Q. How do you duplicate?

A. Press cntrl+D to duplicate!
