Team Fortress 2
Can TF2 Lay Off Misogyny?

This a follow-up to my previous thread about misogyny:Additional one (not mine):

Misogyny is a huge issue since the dawn of times.
It can affect your mother, your partner, your sister, your femxle friends, and you.

This is why it's important to care about it and reflect misogyny, not promote it by ignoring it and accepting "gender neutral" words that make people feel left out and can be used as an excuse to be rude, misogynistic and transmisogynistic (also you can't erase the past days, years, decades, centuries and so on).

Take the Scout for instance, it's a great example of him objectifying wimmin, as seen in the official SFMs. I'm not even mentioning "The Track Terrorizer" officially accepted cosmetic.

Take the Soldier why does he sarcastically refers to his teammates as "ladies" and etc, and makes fun of the Demoman using misogynistic statements? Like wimmin are inferior to men (they aren't, this isn't controversial).

Take the Demoman, there is a line where he says:
Why it's like that?

Take the Spy, why is he being misogynistic to the Pyro?
The same question.

And 100% something bad about many other cosmetics, but frankly I'm not interested in cosmetic elements like that, I only care about gameplay, gamemodes, maps, characters themselves and their voicelines in PvP games like TF2.

if I ever want to look at the beauty I launch something like Dying Light.

I understand something I'm not going to mention, but eradicating misogyny will benefit everyone, not just wimmin, men will get tons of pros too.

We won't move anywhere if we are immovable, if we do move it's going to be like that meme with a futuristic city but it's actually the reality, and the text is "the world if we actually listen to each other".

Stand with wimmin, including the ones whose views you don't share.
I even stand with J. K. Rowling (some of her opinions, to clarify) because I understand her concerns.
As a trans*persyn.

Please stay constructive and be respectful, I realize how huge the issue is, and if you disagree, at least don't be rude, okay?

Thanks.

Sorry, it's not what the persyn said.
They said:
"We’re at the point where transgender women put more effort into looking feminine than biological women.'
I'll refrain from commenting on that matter.

Please do not anything bad, this is just to prove my words
Wow, "who", they truly care more about wimmin than conservatives.

When you look at the comments under the posts of J.K. Rowling it's just men getting angry at her views, I wonder why mostly them?

But when there is a misogynistic post there are almost never men who stand up for wimmin.

Thank you, "who".

TF2 developers decided to put those personalities into the characters I wonder based on what?

The fact they did and intentions demonstrate the issue,
I'm not saying you need to cancel VALVe, cancelling doesn't do anything but bad in my opinion.

I just point out how much misogyny there is in the world.

Also, you can tackle social issues by making the game just for that purpose to showcase discrimination problems.

FPS Multiplayer games are not the places for N-wordery and misogyny, and it's even worse it's (misogyny) coming from a multiplayer VALVe game.

And TF2 does not care about time accuracy, so it's a rather very convenient excuse to say "well that's how misogynistic it was then" while ignoring the fact other types of discrimination are not being "demonstrated".

Games can be whatever, but I will post what I'd like to see happen so wimmin don't feel upset and left out anyways, and pointing out misogyny is always good.

I enjoy the characters, they're not exactly the problem.

I care about all wimmin.
Normalized misogyny is a massive problem for all wimmin, and it hurts men too.

I, however, support some of Rowling's statements regarding gender identity being easy to fake to enter wimmin spaces and etc to hurt them, and here you have many people who go further than average people, if she says anything about trans*men I'm against that!

Wimmin spaces should be approached differently for the sake of concerns of cisgender wimmin, I feel.

Notice how there is much more trans*wimmin than trans*men, and representation, and who supports trans*wimmin...

And why.

Also, I saw someone unironically saying "some trans*girls are more feminine than cisgender ones nowadays" "We’re at the point where transgender women put more effort into looking feminine than biological women.'
What does that even mean?

(I know).

For the "Why the wimmin and etc?":
It isn't censoring

Adressing the "bait" accusations:
Discussing social issues isn't bait.

People need to stop treating every single social issue thread like bait just for a few genuine people. Like actually.

Yep, just for a few, because otherwise, genuine people will be hurt and it will make certain people think/think even more there's no actual issue and it's made up just because unserious others who usually talk about them are not very serious.

Social problems will continue to be downplayed even more if you don't do it.
Ignore not-so-serios people/leave serious answer regardless for genuine people to see and learn/to educate doubtful people.

Read up what happens to wimmin across the entire world, how they are being treated, or better, have feminist friends, or any femxles ones, and ask them about their experience.

Thanks.

And please don't be rude. Why:

There's no need to be rude, you can always voice your disagreement with whoever respectfully, I think doing otherwise is detrimental if you care because:
  • People who you disagree with can become even more sure of their opinions
  • Other people who support your opponent(s) can less likely look at what you say
  • People who may support you even a little can reconsider their position due to your not very kind behavior, so it's always better to be respectful c:
  • People can start associating the way you engage with people with other people whose opinions are similar to yours and start dismissing them right off the bat, so it's better to not be disrespectful

And I think gender is a neopatriarchal product, in my humble subjective opinion.
In postgenderism I believe.

It was reposted from my notebook because my sister-sama "Tutu has #SavedTF2" had been silenced, apparently for "spamming" (for excessively posting per 1-3-8-13 hours) (200 posts in 8 or so days), all her hard work is in a camp fire...

but she appealed and won Tutu has #SavedTF2 is freeeeee

How do you even manage that.

You should redirect this question to "Tutu has #SavedTF2", desu!
Just to demonstrate what she does, not advertising, those are Steam links desu!

Please do not be rude to estrogen anime lovers desu!

She is a very dedicated and outspoken gamer who cares about the game and its community. She is confident and assertive, she does not shy away from expressing her views and challenging others.

However, some people find her profile description too long, complex, or controversial, and some disagree with some of her opinions or methods. She faces backlash or criticism from users who have different perspectives or preferences.

Therefore, I think her profile description is informative and interesting, but it's also divisive and provocative.

You have to remember that its a video game, I guarantee that Valve had no intention of being misogynistic but only humorous.
Clearly one bait was not enough
