Game update 25.10.2016
Release notes:
  • Optimized ambient occlusion effect loading for common resolutions
  • Fixed optimized spotlight shader path
Known issues & troubleshooting
We're continuing to investigate reported startup crashes and live action playback issues. Players have also reported that the following steps might help:
  • Make sure your system meets the minimum requirements (i.e. Intel Core i5-4460, 2.70GHz or AMD FX-6300, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 or AMD Radeon R7 260x) listed on the game's store page.
  • Install the latest display drivers. AMD Radeon here[support.amd.com] and NVIDIA GeForce here[www.geforce.com].
  • Install Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015[www.microsoft.com]. The game checks this and installs it only during the first startup, so make sure you have the correct version installed.
  • Make sure to close all background applications when watching the live-action episodes. The in-game video player is CPU-heavy, so other applications e.g. video capture software might cause issues.
  • Closing all antivirus software (including Windows Defender) while playing might help with crash issues.

Thanks for the continuous support, hope you can fix all the issues. So we can enjoy this underrated beautiful game to the fullest.

I did notice ambient occlusion switching itself off when you disable the "upscaling". It comes back after a few seconds though.

Sad that upscaling off is practically unplayable not due to raw performance (as fps itself is fine on my system and more frequently hits 60fps then expected) but the input lag is beyond anything I've ever seen.

Hello, Remedy. Please, fix the issue with the mouse cursor when enabled gamepad (the cursor is displayed in the center of the screen in menu\notes and any textual information in the game). Hide or disable the mouse cursor when a player uses a gamepad. Thanks you for the wonderful game.

I second this, and thank you for your continued work on this excellent game.

Can you at least add triple buffering not working in exclusive full screen mode to the known issues? It's certainly not working for some users like me.

workaround for the fps drops in exclusive fullscreen with vsync = adaptive vsync in nvidia control panel. not sure if AMD has such an option. in game one needs to be off as well.

the game ran amazing like that for me.

Please Fix this its really annoying
all i wanted was an fov slider or ability to adjust it myself and motion blur off. Why are these 2 things still being imposed in PC gaming. WE DON"T LIKE MOTION BLUR,

Any chance you guys could add DPI awareness into the application manifest so I don't have to patch it in manually myself every time the game updates? Without doing so, I can't get the game to go use the 1080p resolution while my DPI setting is above 100%. Modifying the manifest made the higher resolutions show up and everything still works. Still no fix for strange gamma in exclusive fullscreen or the stuttery 30FPS screen shifting when firing the Heavy Pistol?
