So never played this but got it in my account a while back with a bundle. Is this worth starting so late after release and without any of the DLC? Also is the DLC worth it as not the greatest reviews?

Because of the infrequency and randomness of formula and relic piece drops it takes a lot of effort beyond normal play. i spend a lot of time farming the globe vendor in Atlantis and farming previous content with my lvl 80. I literally have played thru an entire act searching for specific relic pieces and only found one. it takes 9 Raven's Shadow Artifects in order to complete one of every Artifect. I was wondering if a Wu melee build is feasible. Seen Neidan + Storm but not Earth. Full focus on strength, should end somewhere in the 800 range but is a commitment. 3 Auras + some casts means it's very energy hungry, so probably not possible selffound / hardcore. I wanted to go for some sort of lightning archer. Shooting arrows fast and triggering lighting stuff on hit like chain lightning and things like that but I'm struggling to level. Anyone can give me some pointers as to what skills or passives to take early on. So far I've been maxing out the Hunter mastery and maxed out the passive that gives you attack speed.
