I have a strange drift issue in this game where the character starts moving by himself in the direction where he moved before I stopped moving. I press any movement key (WASD), I release the key and then the character continues moving in the direction he was moving to, very slowly. This issue is comparable to controller stick drift but, in this case, it's not related to the controller.

The fix in the above thread is to set the framerate cap to a maximum of 144, which fixes the problem. Anything more than that (165, 200, and 240), makes the issue to reappear. This problem is not related to the maximum monitor refresh rate, since I am gaming on a 360Hz Gsync monitor.

Does anyone know of a proper fix for this problem? I want to run this game at 240 FPS.
