I can't play the game

Whenever I try to play Nier it starts on my second vertical monitor every single time on 1080x1920. I have tried windows key + shift + arrow keys, didn't work. I have tried windows key + p, didn't work. I have tried to go to borderless and drag it to my main monitor. That worked but it's stuck on 1080x1920 resolution instead of 1920x1080. I have tried to start Nier with my vertical monitor unplugged. The game still starts as if my vertical monitor was there but now I can't drag it to my main monitor.

EDIT: Starting the game once in Steam Big Picture Mode solved it.

It is worth noting every single game I have started has been flawless it is only Nier that does this.

check in windows if your second monitor is perhaps actually your first monitor.

maybe nvidia settings can also force the game to the other monotir.

in the worst case, turning the monitor off is a bandaid solution.
