I have run into a very annoying bug. I skipped to nest generation with 6 adults and 5 children. Obviously the first day after the skip, there are no young-lings in the group. The issue though is that none of the adults can have babies, because they are all related to each other. This wouldn't be a problem, as you can go find hominids everywhere and anywhere. NOPE. Something in the code has decided to output a value of literally ZERO other hominids spawning anywhere in the map. This goes without saying, but...

This game uses up more video resources than anything else I play , fans running at high speed and at 70 Degrees Celcius .

I remember this game took a lot of flak at launch some years ago. It's on sale now on Xbox and Steam though and it always struck me as an interesting concept. Have the patches fixed up the game for the most part?

Am I going too fast in the game? I stayed around the first area, in between the waterfall and the swamp for almost 20 years...had a few babies, skipped 1 generation only... made a lot of progress with the neurons... then decided to move everybody "forward", down the river... And on the way down, we got attacked by every single creature in the game!!! Clan members screaming, some bleeding, some with broken bones, babies crying, just total chaos!!!.... AN ABSOLUTE DISASTER! I spent more time running around...

So this has happened twice now. I generally explore around when I have enough babies/genes locked down, either with an adult or an elder who I can afford to get eaten by a tiger. As an aside, if you're new to the game like I am, this is a great way to play with the controls and the environment - practice swinging and climbing trees and jumping and stuff. But anyway, I'm out exploring and found some bad fruit and clicked the drop button and my monkey dropped instead of the fruit - from a tremendous heigh...
