KARDS - The WWII Card Game

KARDS - The WWII Card Game

How do y'all name your decks?
Does everyone put in A LOT of thought when naming custom decks or is it just me?

I usually try to come up with a word play that also describes the content of the deck if possible. And since I play both standard and classic the name should reflect that as well but that's rarely possible. I don't break much sweat about it, though - the name should be intuitive after all, since the main purpose is to remember what it does. If something pops up right in my mind it's probably best to use it. I'll post some examples tomorrow
The 2 nations followed by deck archetype (if applicable). Example JapGer Aggro. If a new type of deck or a homebrew I'll go with sth nonsensical like Beat JKing etc.

I like thematic names, fun wordplay and stuff like that. I try to be creative because I make a lot of decks, that I need to identify. "Fantastic Four", for example, would be a name that just comes to my mind for a deck that is based around the "4 or more attack" theme of the current expansion.

Highalnder
A deck where I voluntarily restrict myself to one copy of each card, hence the name (which is/was a format in Magic)

Standard Highlander
Most of my decks are Classic, this is the Standard version of the Highlander deck, one of only 3 Standard decks.

Standarte
My main deck for Standard. "Standarte" is the german name of "standard" - not the format name but the english word for a flag on a pole that combat units used to carry. So, this deck kind of carries my banner in this format (and has germany as main nation, so it represents me )

Anti-Anti
This is the 3rd and last Standard deck. It's USSR main and Japan ally and contains all kinds of units and cards that are soft- or hardcounters to the current meta. It was made during the era where everybody used retributions, commando decks weren't nerfed yet and SKD was commonplace. So it runs everything that punishes card-draws and orders from KV-1 to 60th Cavalry Regiment all down to Utsunomiya Regiment. So, the deck is very anti. I extended that to "Anti-Anti" because the song Bonaparte song was still in my mind. I hear that every time I play this deck (not currently because the meta shifted)

Brivage
You might guess it: A Salvage based deck with Britain as main nation.

3 is Company
A GER/US deck based on Encirclement, which copies one of my units in the front and gives it blitz. It's limited to kredit cost 3 units, so the deck is full of the best 3-cost units that are annoying at the front like 442nd Infantry Regiment. "Three is Company" is the name of a chapter in Lord of the Rings. While this deck is not LotR related, I borrowed the phrase for this deck because low cost units ("hobbits") seek company to go on an adventure.

Pin Pong
A main japanese deck based on pinning units :P
I bet you have bad puns among your decknames, too ;)

Mob Life
Main Brit deck focussing on mobilize. It has a secondary theme of gaining life one at a time and thus triggering 73e Regiment D'Infanterie and Commandos Kieffer. It's also a play on "thug life"

Resi Fakk
One of my oldest decks from back then when Allegiance came out and I was new. It combines the old version resistance cards with Utsunomiya Regiment and Type 95 Ha Go ... the "Fakk" part acknowledges that this is evil :P I guess you can figure it out yourself

Now I want to see your deck names!

EDIT:
Forgot about Endgame, a US/USSR deck with the US research and a full set of Spy Rings to get more researches.

I usually either try to think about some funny name that suggests what is in the deck, or just name it after its contents. For example, my Sherman deck is called "Take him to Detroit", and one of my Japanese decks is called "Smoked". I also had British-French deck named "BEF". But I am not a great fan of Soviet or German decks, so I just name them "Alpine" or something like that.
I beleive he want to know how to name a deck.

Where do i have to click to name it?

I habe the same problem..........

When you are in your deck editing screen, look top right of your screen, above the list of cards in your deck. You should see a name like "Germany deck" or "Britain deck" etc, click on it and change it to whatever you want :)
Suicide Squad: All japanese with destruction triggers

Blitz Crew: German/Japenese featuring units with blitz
Bleeding Dragon - Japan/Soviet self-discard with mostly bombers and fighters with ambush. Not very meta but it is a fun deck to use with my Yokoshiba Flying School cardback.

Peak Maneuvers - Germany/Italy alpine deck with cool planes. No orders, instead relying on countermeasures. Also not meta, but I like the theme & art.

Diverting Tactics - Japan/Germany shock & smokescreen tank deck that I made after pulling Type 4 Chi-To. It really suprised me how much fun it ended up being. Still being tweaked.

Pact of Sacrifice - Soviet/Finland T-34 and salvage deck that kinda sucks but kinda rules. Very much under construction. All the cards have very wintery/ snowy art and its satisfying to play on my Moscow HQ.
