Let us disable the Dynamic Resolution Scaling, officially. [Potential Fix included in this post]
There's absolutely no point in forcing everyone to play with it on. Many of us with WMR headsets have run into this being an issue, where your SteamVR Super Sampling values are completely ignored by the game.

Valve, just let us disable it in the next update. I played through the entire game at what felt like 480p because I didn't want to encounter inevitable spoilers.

Potential Fix

Right click on Half Life: Alyx in your Steam library, go to Properties, click the "Set Launch Options" button, and paste this in there...

-console -vconsole +vr_fidelity_level_auto 0 +vr_fidelity_level 3

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who wants this. I'll try your suggested fix tomorrow and hopefully I can make the most of my spec now.

Thanks.

Just a heads up, adjusting the Super Sampling values in SteamVR doesn't seem to take effect instantly like most VR games. You have to restart the game if you change it in-game to see a difference. Hope it works mate

How do I turn it off?
