Also tried the stacking and poking as others have mentioned. Which by the games logic should have worked.
This sort of awkward mechanic (where a game wont let you do something that should work) was annoying enough in old-school point and click games. Here in VR, it's on a whole other level of annoying.
If the ladder is suppose to be the solution, I call ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ because I can't move stuff while small, and just about everything that I have moved pops back to default on swim.
Also, the reminder message plays about every thirty seconds. After 20 times, I got pissed off at the narrator for being so damn repetitive.
After reading this thread, then going back in game, I tried to move the ladder from inside the model to current stage, dropping down the ladder's size. There was a shadow popin spot for where the ladder was to go.
That sounds about right. So were you able to place the ladder? Once that works and you have the tiny ladder standing at the mirror, you just ride the fish to the shelf and you can use the ladder to reach the gap.
