close to good, but sadly no cigar

Didn't grow up playing adventure games and this one didn't endear me to the genre; I don't recommend it unless you're nostalgic for adventure games and/or someone who would've backed this game when it was still on kickstarter.

I expected it to lean a bit more into the X-files theme since the two main characters are obviously based on Mulder and Scully but there's zero connection except for their appearance, so that feels really random. Speaking of character, nobody has much of a personality aside from some one note joke that for me pretty much never landed. At one point you have to make all four playable characters eat a rotten hotdog and watch each of them throw it back up in an alley. It's tedious, wastes time and it wasn't funny the first time, let alone the fourth.

I'm sure anyone who likes adventure games and who reads this thinks I just don't get it or whatever. Maybe I don't. But I don't think anyone else who isn't nostalgic for this sort of thing would enjoy it.
