As a musical artist myself, two things are most important: Constructive Criticism and Genuine, honest praise.
( And of course the success in Business wise, but that is not always top priority for everyone, as there are artists, who just want to do, regardless of how weird it sounds.
For me, my top priority is to see, how far I can take my skill level. )
