A fix for the breaking custom stories bug from latest release can now be tried out on the public_beta branch. If you have published one of these stories that broke, it would be awesome if you could try the fix and report back.

Here, he encounters 3 of these creatures, gets knocked out and awakens in a cell. Meanwhile, to me, this did not occur, and there was only 1 creature which was easily avoidable and I have access to 3 areas afterwards. The guy on the tutorial has a completely different path. Does this game have multiple ways of solving it or? The only different thing I did compared to the guy above...

"An Unexpected Arrival" is a custom story, created by user "Nye" and fully released on 10th of june 2011 (ver 1.04). However, user's mod was never uploaded on ModDB (except the erliest demo). Instead, on the official frictional games forum Nye provided link to the other resource "MediaFire" from where CS could be downloaded. But now, all people get when they follow the link is messsage: "The key you provided for file access was invalid. This is usually caused because the file is no longer stored on MediaFi...

Can't get the elevator to work. Or more accurately, it works "just fine" which is a problem since it should break down and fall, then I wake up in the next area. Now it just goes down forever into the void. Does anyone have a way to fix that. I have the "Amnesia Remastered" mod, which might be the problem, I will try other methods to fix it first but if nothing works I'll try without the mod, though I highly doubt that's the problem. I've seen people online talk about it and it seem to date back 10 months...

For the people who have played every Amnesia game or at least have played 2 Amnesia games, how would you rank them in terms of difficulty? Feel free to create your criteria of what difficulty means for you. I've only played the Dark Descent game, so I cannot answer this question myself....
