I started this up and there seems to be no subs and no option to turn them on. Is there any way to get captions on this? Also - why does it start one with a woman? The Regular version starts out with a guy outside a burned out cafe.

it may be a bit late but i started the game today and i can help you.

In the options screen you have to click on that flag and then a new screen opens for game language and subtitles on/off.

About the start with the woman....i'm sure its because of the Directors cut version. I played the orignal from 1996 and you're right but after about 30 min playtime , you switch back to the guy and the orignal begin of the game
