the KI cheats so often and dont have to pay for troops or anything.

this is killing the fun of the game for me, i mean WHY THE KI HAVE TO CHEAT?? why even fight a other country and try to defeat its armies when it takes the KI 1 round to throu even BETTER UNITS INTO THE FIGHT FOR NO COSTS.

having spent way too much money getting this thing on Super Sale™ and finding out the lion's share of the DLC content essentially amounts to over-tuned reskins of the very limited and unsatisfying base content, my feelings about this franchise can be summed up in three words:
Creatively Bankrupt Assembly

I feel deceived. I feel robbed. I really do not feel the price tag they're asking can be justified by the product you're getting, whether you're getting this or its sequel alone without the DLCs or you're buying it with its DLCs. With that said, this thing is already on my computer, I've already spent all this money on it and there are games roughly in this genre costing a tenth of the price and hard drive space that i still prefer playing. The only thing getting me to boot this up anymore is a sunk-cost fallacy and wishful thinking that the product will somehow grow on me instead of rapidly feeling more and more hollow. There's all this content in this game and all of it feels the same and even worse, a bunch of that content is half-baked, badly ported from previous games, etc. I COULD go in to depth about each of the facets and mechanics of this game and exactly how they failed to deliver, but i don't think it's worth my time and i don't think it's worth your time. Maybe i will keep playing this game and it will click for me and i will get to change my rating. For what it's worth, i don't know of any other franchises that do large scale battlefield tactics like this does. But you're going to a 5 star steakhouse advertising these generous portions with all these ambitious sides, and they're charging 200 dollars for the plate and you buy the steak and yeah you got the steak, you got the sides, you really really wanted to eat a steak and this is the only steakhouse in the country, but the steak is not that big, it's hard to chew, it's completely covered in this inedible sauce and the rest of the plate is heaped to the ceiling with those sides which are all scorched to a crisp. And you complain to your partner about the steak and another patron overhears you and says, well, you didn't have to get it with all those sides, you could have ♥♥♥♥♥♥ the steak a la carte, raw and unseasoned, for 60 dollars, why didn't you do that? Don't you see how much food you're getting? Can you find a plate that big anywhere else?

Won't let me download Mortal Empires. Button is there but says Steam isn't installed... Tried reinstalling Steam. same issue. Eye of the Vortex sucks.
