Just a genuinely bad game, like, even for 2005.
I feel like a got scammed, would've been better if I just pirated this.



For the record: I DID NEVER RAN INTO ANY TROUBLES WITH THIS GAME, IT NEVER CRASHED, IT NEVER GLITCHED, I NEVER PATCHED IT, I WAS PLAYING VANILLA ORIGINAL EXPERIENCE AND OVERALL GAME WAS WORKING BETTER THEN GOOD.
And I'm not a fan of the Star Wars games and movies.



Game feels cheap, I don't even know how to joke about that, game literally feels like its budget was two or maybe three cans of Monster Energy Drink.
I'm not complaining about the fact that there is no cutscenes, because there's alot of great games (especially now) that have great story telling but have no cutscenes, like Half-Life or Portal series for example.

But F####NG HELL, whole storytelling in the game is just little text notes briefing before starting mission, short dialogue briefing with a commander through the hologram on your ship and after that - a cut to a black screen (most of the time) and THEN starting the mission.

Moving from one objective room to other and end of the mission are just cuts. - Cut to cut, then cut for another cut, and then... CUT WITH A BLACK SCREEN TO ANOTHER TEXT BRIEFING BEFORE PRESSING START.

Mission objectives, well, they're not fun but not boring and not annoying, just simple generic stuff: open that, plant that, blow that thing up, clean up the room before moving further. Can't really complain about stuff like that.



Characters, well, uuuh, they have some funny stuff to say and quotes, but overall they're not interesting, there's no really any depth to them and they don't have time to develop (not that they've tried, but still). Or MaYbE i'M nOt ToO sMaRt To SeE tHaT cHaRaCtEr DePtH.
At least they never made me cringe and they somewhat funny little company cuz of some funny quotes and little dialogues, unfortunately there is very little stuff like this in the game, sadge.

A.I. of the enemies is not bad, they're not very smart of course, but at least they're not as stupid as Call of Duty or Battlefield A.I. (thank god).
A.I. of your fellow lads can be a bit, lets say, "quirky", sometimes, but overall your lads are not useless and pretty powerful companions.



Also shooting mechanics are good, shooting stuff is fun, ragdolls can sometimes be super hilarious (I love that).
Not alot, but enough of different kinds of infrantry weaponary and a few stationary turrets and rocket launchers.
I personally love the Trandoshan shotgun, especially in the first mission where you encounter them and you're playing alone without your companions, It was one of the most fun parts of the game for me.



Graphics are good, well, look, game is old, aight? As long as It doen't look like generic Unreal Engine garbage or Unity 3D ripoff - I'm more then fine.
Graphically game has good & kinda dark atmosphere- AND OH MY LORD, stylistically game looks incredible, I love that SWAG of yours, my guy.
Environment, gun models, player and overall commando models, enemy models, explosion and different effects looking good, if you really care about that.



Ending of the game is awful, after last mission game just cuts to a black screen, then game cuts to a f####ng text briefing, then you start the game and listen to a short holo-dialogue AND GAME JUST CUTS TO F####NG CREDITS WITH A CLIFFHANGER FOR A SEQUEL WICH NEVER CAME OUT AND WAS CANCELLED BACK IN 2005-2006.



Game overall, not worth it if you're paying money, gamespy multiplayer is dead and community mod servers as well.
Campaign is sometimes good time and sometimes bad time, but overall you're more likely going to be disappointed cuz of cuts, lack of depth to the characters, and absolutely awful cliffhanger game ending for a sequel that never came out.

If you really want to play this game, like REALLY BADLY, just try asking your friend for a Steam Family Sharing access if he, or she, has the game copy on their Steam account.
Or simply try to find "alternative ways to play the game" if you know what i mean.

A childhood favourite that is still better than some shooters out there today, nothing quite like this gem of a game. I highly recommend checking out the short guides below for two simple things Resolution and mouse sensitivity fixes, very easy to fix some dated problems.
