Speaking of "Perfect Dark", it seems even after 3 years of the announcement of its reboot and inclusion of Crystal Dynamics to assist the development, the state of Perfect Dark is still a huge mess...
Microsoft is so much terrible at managing their portfolio of Games... As faulty as Google was with its failed "Google Stadia", at least it had the decent sense of leaving Gaming Development altogether and refund everybody who wasted their money on that flopped service. Not Microsoft, though, almost like they want to keep only the most profitable gaming companies alive and shutting down the rest.
And most ironically, Phil Spencer said a few months ago Xbox wanted to expand their market share at Japan, yet they just shut down their only japanese gaming studio.

A studio closing doesn't mean the IP is dead. Microsoft can give it to another team if they want to.

Business is business, and at the end of the day these studios exist to make money. They failed to do that even with Mikami's name attached, so now he's gone I'm not shocked that Microsoft have lost hope in them.

Bah, as if Microsoft cared about "The Evil Within" IP. And I defy you to show me ONE gaming studio from Microsoft that could make a "The Evil Within 3".
The most honest thing Microsoft should do to "The Evil Within" IP is to sell it to Capcom!

I was really hoping for a third game. I enjoyed the last two games

So Steam version of both TWE 1 & 2 will remain outdated, compared to Epic-Poop Games. Nice. Glad I made the right decision of selling my old Sh1t-box 360 and migrated to PC, instead of buying their console.

• The Microsoft Store version is significantly different with regards to gameplay, improved performance, and bug fixes. It features:

• First-person mode with an Field of View option and icons for the lantern and sneaking.
• Infinite ammo mode
• Low/medium options for camera bob
• Increased stamina (5 seconds by default instead of 3)

• The GOG version and the Microsoft Store version contains the Fighting Chance Pack DLC that was previously exclusive to pre-orders.
