Have the same problem. Solution in switch off all game controllers. In my case problem in Saitek X55 fligth controller.

Just bought this game and can't launch it at all.

I have the same problem. After trying out disconnecting different USB devices I found the solution. I have to unplug my Wooting One keyboard.

I don't like switching to a different keyboard just to play this game, so I hope this gets fixed soon.

yeah, no. buy your own games bud. the money is going to a good charity too. looking for hand-outs when i am reporting an error is just idiotic.

In my case, my controller provokes this.

Can we get any news on fixing this? It does state full controller support but I can only play it with keyboard and mouse. I wouldn't mind it too much but I'd prefer a controller given the type of game it looks like.

I noticed it got reported on the main bug thread too. I'd prefer the controller support tag removed if you can't fix it.

I'll also add that plugging the controller after starting the game provides a different error, if it helps:
